Summerset does the same.

basicly, if you own morrowind, you start in morrowind, but if you buy summerset then regardless of if you own morrowind or not you start in summerset, as the newest one overrides the starting position each time. summerset has alot of fun magical stuff, and is so far a little more interesting plot wise, but morrowind is great if you played elder scrolls 3, and has alot of interesting locations.

think you need summerset for jewelry crafting, i do like morrowind to but i would go with summerset

Summerset gives jewelry crafting and the psijic guild line. Morrowind as DLC is only map content, unless you get a version that still has the warden included then you get another class.

So it's down to what you want, the best answer would be to save money and pick both.

Both, Summerset brings a loot of new feathers and an interesting new starf if you play Almer. On the other hand I like it to the Morrowind-card including the Vivec-questline.

I don't think that you can buy the game without Morrowind from Steam, Morrowind already comes with the main game. And Vivec City, that you find in Morrowind, is very useful, as it offers all crafting tables very near each other, together with everything you really need very near around. Summerset is a new and expensive DLC, that I bought mainly because it offered jewelry crafting. But the place itself is gorgeous and I'm glad I bought it.

Morrowind is the chapter before summerset, the story would not add up if you picked summerset first., story goes like eso>morrowind>summerset.
btw morrowind can only be bought in crownstore. (does not add warden and collectors do not give morrowind)

and clockwork is essentially a prequel to summerset story wise.
