Did ESO really do this?!
What the hell, did ESO really just make it so that we have to PAY to dye our armor we make?! WHY!? What the hell was the point of that, at that rate if they are going to now make me pay gold to dye MY armor colors with dye I HAVE UNLOCKED then I am going to have issues with them. They did not always make you do this, Why now!? Someone please tell me what is going on! This is rediculous ESO! Change it back there was no good reason for making this change and you know it! We should not need to pay gold to dye armor! Stop screwing us all over and start actually showing you give a damn about your customers and community members! Before your start loosing most of us with your stupid as hell changes!

Wow grow up. You think dye is free? It's an expensive produce.

No actually you need to grow up since your wasting your time trolling around on a forum for a game, dye that you unlock from completing certain acheivments use to be free to use and now they want people to pay 300 gold to make changes to armor. You must be a newb to not of known that since this change is extreamly recent.

Yes, you're right. Paying to paint a costume is ridiculous. But all this fantasy mechanics is a cosmetic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. If you have the good census to visualize this, you should not be surprised by this silly mechanic, because there are many people who love these features, because of pure vanity or lack of awareness. The best thing to do is to point out how much of this mechanic is silly and not to use.

Well as far as I know if they are going for realism you would not have to pay for dying armor since the dye you have you basically won it would not make sense to pay to use a dye station since you don't have to pay for any of the alchemy, blacksmith, enchanting, ect. Also I hate the default colors when I do make armor so I prefer dying it, the browns and greens just are not fitting of my characters.

They need to get rid of this I swear if there is a god I would pray that they got rid of this stupid little add-on.

This isn't new. You can still dye the old way by clicking the other tab in the dying window. But the old way was limited to your specific worn gear or your costumes. The outfit system costs money to dye and is the only new element. If you don't like that then don't use it. Use the old system.

you don't pay just to dye a weapon or armor you have equipped, you pay for dying an outfit that you put over your equipped armor

Listen that is what I was doing, I was not dying outfits, I was dying some light armor I made for my character. It charged me for it, this little hell is very new and not fair, why did they do this? I don't care how many people who don't have half a brain wanted dying to cost money, because those that have reason, would relize this is stupid and makes no sense, not even from a roleplaying point of view. Why would you have to pay in any case to use dye that you basically own (earned with achivments) at a dye station? This makes me not want to play ESO any more simply because if they made this stupid and pointless change they are prone to other stupid ideas that will just become annoying to people like me.

Wait 300 Gold or 300 Crowns? Big difference...just want to make sure that you are saying the proper words.

are you sure you were on NO OUTFIT tab ?
Malsvir Ixen Feb 13, 2018 @ 5:16pm
You were obviously on the Outfit tab because on the NO OUTFIT tab it doesn't charge you anything. As I've been dying gear all day today for free trying to get the right look for my Khajiit NB

I kinda am new to the crafting system in this game...where could I dye my regular clothes? Not the Crown DLC outfits.

Same place as always. Just change the slot to No Outfit and you'll be dying regular clothes.
