Hackers/Cheaters

I came from GTA (1k hours+) where there are thousands of hackers. I haven’t seen or heard of them in ESO. Out of interest, are they hackers, and what are they like?

There were hackers a long time ago when the game first come out, so I heard.

Now there are no hackers in terms of pvp.

However there are people who use bots , bots is a program which player uses when they are offline, the bot will play the game for the player. I see a train of bot users from time to time, not a big problem, but its there. Bots users mainly do this to level up quickly.

That's pretty much it in terms of cheaters and hackers in eso.

The worst I have seen are 20+ bots following each other farming enemy mobs in a routine that involves movement from point to point. Only thing they can ruin is market pricing on said drop items and your ability to farm said mobs. You can ruin their farm by out killing them and wasting their time and yours but I am sure you will ruin their day when they come back and minimum leveling was done and no resources gathered lol.


You do get PVP cheating but it is rare. Perfect video as example. There are invisible cheats as well and god modes and ability spam.

To be honest this game is still one of the game with least encouters with obvious cheaters compared to all my years of online gaming.

Not anywhere close as bad as PUBG and GTAV.

MMORPS like this are not easy to cheat in and when they do unlike rockstar the devs will come down hard and fast on them so you will be fine
