Weird Login Issue
So I played ESO while Steam was letting people play for the free week which happened a couple of weeks back. Somebody gifted me the game during that time, and I redeemed it while the game was still free. I could play, login, all that jazz.

The problem is that for the free week, when I would log-in, I had to re-sign all of ESO's terms of service, and re-assign the gamma of the game as well (or the darkness/lightness of the game, I forget its technical term), and I had to "re-choose" my server and country every time as well. I own the game now, and it's still making me re-sing through everything when I log into the game. I feel like this shouldn't be and I don't know how to fix it, if I even can fix it.

Edits:
-I did reinstall the game, and have received the same issue.

Check if your usersettings.txt in /documents/Elder Scrolls Online/Live is set to 'Read only'. Uncheck it if it is and see if that fixes the issue.

There is no such file under "/documents/Elder Scrolls Online/Live", only five empty folders labeled "AddOns", "Errors", "Logs", "SavedVariables", and "Screenshots".

hmmm..ok. don't know why you don't have one. According to this thread - https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/142056/i-dont-have-the-usersettings-txt-file-help you can manually create one if you wanted to try.

Added the file manually. The game now doesn't ask me to set the gamma every time, but it still makes me sign the user agreements and makes me pick which megaserver I'm on.

I tried restarting the client and game with the added file with the "read only" option checked and unchecked to compare for differences, but the same thing resulted with both.

...is this just a feature of playing ESO, or do other people need to re-sign everything and re-pick their megaserver every time when they login?

From what I've read in the link provided by kip, the file misses :
SET AcceptedNDAVersion "-1"
SET AcceptedCodeOfConductVersion "1"
SET AcceptedPrivacyPolicyVersion "7"
SET AcceptedTOSVersion "4"
[...]
SET LastPlatform "Live-EU" (or Live-NA probably)

Not sure if adding those will help though (they might have been left out deliberately).

Edit: That's not all that is missing, but the rest doesn't seem linked to the issue you have.

Added those following lines, interesting results.

All it has me do now on log-in is pick my Megaserver, and click and agree *only* to the Terms of Service, then after it gets me to my character list it has me pick my country.

It is no longer making me re-adjust the in-game brightness, a Zenimax specific ToS, and a few random mischelaneous things that I previously had to do.
