I abandoned this quest at the very end. I got stuck on lighting the fires so I went out and watched a utube video and I am watching players stripped down to their undies so they would not damage their armor when they fell to their deaths as they jumped into thin air in the hopes of getting a shot at lighting fires. They are doing this over and over again.

Not me, I was ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and walked out of Coldharbor.

So I go over to Summerset and I need to unload all this stuff at the market. Go into the city, which one I do not remember, hit the M key to bring up a map and game crashes.

I think you can shoot at the fires to light them. Or something like that. I remember activating them from a distance.

I was able to get some lit but there were one or two which would not light. From what I could gather from watching the utube videos you had to jump at them and hopefully you would get the E to show up and you could throw the flame at them. Win or lose you fell to your death. In hindsight, it was kind of funny watching players one after the other jumping and sometimes one could throw the flame to light the fire. I thought how incredibly stupid and walked away.

I think you just have to be real close to the edge and line up your cross and u can activate it. There was one on a platform below that you had to jump to which required some timing.

I tried that one without success. You had to jump to a small platform get the flame then try to lite the fire by tossing the flame. Did not work. I think that was one they were showing in the utube video. On that one you did not jump directly at the furnace but at a angle to get the E to show up if you were lucky.

Yes, the Library Gate section.

I could only get part of the them to work. Really sucked. From what I could tell is you had to get closer, due to bug, and had to leap into the abyss and hopefully as you got closer an E would appear so you could toss the flame. This utube video is not the same one I looked at but it shows what I saw as a solution to the problem and then just walked away.

I wish I could offer help, but even though I completed the main storyline just a few weeks ago I can't recall any details about that quest nor whether I had any problems with it. I never remember details, a constant frustration.

Did you notice the guy did not have any clothes on. He must have done this several times and had stripped his armor off so it would not get damaged again when he fell to his death.

I'm having a problem as well. I can get three of them lit with no problem. You get the cold flame, and then move to another square and you get a prompt to use the cold fire. The final one that I am aware of, that is giving me problems is the one under the final platform to leave the library. It has a leaky pipe above the cold fire target, and the closest cold fire, is behind two book cases set into a V shape. I cannot find the prompt to ligjht the fore, and jumping off several times, in several different locations haven't helped. Other people are going through just fine, so I am missing somethingg, but I don't know what... I've been trying off and on for several hours now, sigh.

After walking out of the place and doing other stuff for awhile I finally came back and got it by accident. It is the very end one which gives the problem. I moved virtually to the edge of the platform as close as I could get and the E popped up. I kept thinking I was going to fall at any second.

PS. I did not need to jump to any platforms to get closer. Probably the window is so small to get that E is what makes it so difficult. Most people probably won't get that close to the edge out of fear of falling.

You need to be on the platform below where the guy makes the jump in the video. Next to that pilon (right side) as close as you can get and move as close to the edge as possible and the E "might show up".

That one wasn't a problem for me. The final one, just below the platform that the gate is on, which has a leaking pipe on top of it is the one that I can't get. Or is there another one that I am missing???

Watch this Utube video. The one that gave me the problem was #3 in the video. I did not see the one you are having a problem with which might be the problem. You are trying to light the furnance on one you do not have too. About 9:42 is when the Library puzzel starts.
