Is there any way to play on a private/low population server?
Im not sure why they decided to make all resources shared, but its getting old travelling across tamriel and not finding any damn loot. There are sporadic influxes of people online, not adhering to any pattern of time, which results in an inevitable scarcity of just about everything. Ive been questing for two hours and havent found hardly any crafting resource, and the last two cities I went to had every single container looted and nothing to steal.

Is there any way at all to play on a private server? Or change servers to a low population one? I was thinking maybe changing my region on steam to somewhere like china will make it where it puts ESO on their server, which would hopefully have less overpopulation and crowding.

I'm sure playing on a private server itsent allowed an the game is very very popular i doubt if there is a low population server

Overpopulation? There's always resource nodes all the over the place in every area I visit, I pass up most of them. They aren't common to begin with, spread across the area. Download a resouce finder addon to see where they are located. Many containers spawn with no loot in the first place. There are tons of delves in the game and each has containers that you can reset by logging out. Most people also get their resources from deconstructing, which gives back many times more than farming them gives. If you're looking for tempurs, you have to download an addon to find those nodes more efficiently. Harvesting is so not competitive in the game and there's many times more nodes than people looking for them, especially since crafting eats too many skill points for many players to take it up.

I'm saying this because no there's no way of playing privately.

Wtf are you talking about? Play a single player game if you don’t like people. Jesus.

Sure. There's always a way or two. Like, find a shooting star in the night sky, make a wish and dream wonderful dreams.

There is only 2 servers and they are NA and EU. Plus, if you are looking for items for crafting, look around the zone you are in. The items are everywhere and do respawn after few mins after being picked

I use NA server because my actual timezone is 12 hours off from NA so I can theoretically play when the majority are not playing. Try juggling your playtime?

Also yeah, just keep wandering and the harvestables respawn. Patience and grind, patience and grind is really all you can do in MMORPGs. It's kind of the point, right?

Nodes have tons of spawning points, but limited number of noder per location. Its a relic protection from teleporting bots which was just teleported on nodes and farm those non-stop. So resource nodes have ~20 spawn points per node, and chests are ~3:1. Exact numbers only devs knows, but something like this. Thats because HarvestMap covers everything with nodes, but you dont see a node every 1m.

Only thing is when some guar's children left something in chests/nodes, those are stuck and it will take ~10 mins to refresh. But who cares? Its not like you can get nice loot from chests anyways.

nope, no private servers, sorry

also, there are only 2 "mega servers", one is in North America and the other is in Europe, and these are to cover all players accross the world, so you can not really pick and choose much where you play in the first place.

Note that everything you buy with real money (dlcs, costumes, mounts) does not cross over to both mega servers, so if you chose to play on NA server when you bought dlcs etc then if you decide to play on EU server, none of your purchases will be available to you. Talk about company greed, you would have to double buy every dlc etc to be able to use them on both servers....

And also none of your characters or their inventory can be shared between the 2 servers, meaning if you have chars on both servers, they are compeletely separate and you can not send stuff from a char on one server to a char on the other server...

ahaha another thread like this.

never had your problem, i sometimes ask myself why is the place so empty. When i go from a shrine to a place it takes me many minutes just cuz i stop to gather all stuff in the way.

and why would you work on a private server? why dedicate the time and effort for a private server??
