Starting city for Nord
I realize Whiterun or Windhelm isn't a choice for a starting city. I decided to skip the tutorial and immediately I began my quest in Summerset ? Doesn't look very Nord for a starting city. Not sure if I should proceed or delete and start over

Every player starts adventures in the same location no matter what their race is

Also there is no Whiterun in ESO. But you can find a wayshrine and travel to Eastmarch or Rift

Interesting .. do I need to purchase a DLC to get there. I am ESO +

Just seemed an unusual place to start compared to my other chars starting on the Morrowind island near Vivec city

There is no DLC about Western Skyrim in ESO

While ESO has perhaps the most complete map of an Elder Scrolls game since Elder Scrolls 1 it doesn't yet include everything. You can see places that will probably be the main regions for certain races as still inaccessible on the map.

Since release the have added in Vvardenfell for Morrowind and Summerset Island proper. Soon they will release Elsweyr which should add in the bulk of the Elsweyr province though I'm not sure if it will be adding the whole of it or just a region.

I think given time they will be adding in the familiar areas of Skyrim proper.

The starting points in ESO are based on your Alliance. There are three banners and the races are general divided into them on the historical lines you can read about in lore books on Single Player games about the time. However, if you get the expansion packs your starting point will be moved to that expansion area. You can always just go to the nearest Wayshrine and hop to your Alliances traditional starting point or you can even go to others and start there due to the One Tamriel update that allows all places access to all base areas.

Your starting location is based on your alliance. You start in the same place as everyone else in your alliance.

If you have any expansions (Morrowind, Summerset or Elsweyr as of now) then you'll start in the location of the latest expansion you own.
Because you own Summerset, you start in Summerset.
You can just go to a wayshrine and travel to the Ebonhart Pact starting location, which is an island near Skyrim.

Thanks for all the feedback. Any idea what the name of this island is.
