Champion Points on Alts

While looking at videos on youtube about ESO i got to a video with Nixiom saying when you level alts you gain champion points also which can be used by your main. Is this true?

I thought only lvl 50 toons gain cp points and low level toons dont or is the cp point xp seperate from the level xp, damn this is so confusing haha can someone help this newbie. Thank you!

AFAIK you can only gain CP-exp when lvl 50, btu once unlocked your sub-50 chars can distribute CPs

You only gain CP after level 50 but the whole CP level is shared.
No, you can't get CP levels with below 50 characters but you can spend their CP points before they reach 50, giving them a bonus compared to a fresh account.

CP is account wide, not tied to character that earns them. Make new character and you can apply any and all CP to that new character.
