Solo play and Solo leveling
So I play solo. None of my friends want to play the game. What is the best way to level up my char when I play solo BESIDES dolmens. I tried Dungeons but it takes 30-40 minutes to find me a party. And just grinding a spot is really hard for me cus I die constantly. Any other tips would be appreciated

Dolmens are okay but not efficient at all, even in Al'ikr Desert, unless you're using 300%+ XP buffs.

Grinding would take you years to achieve anything to be honest.. do not do this. Grinding is only acceptable very late in the game, and at very, very few locations.

So, with that out of the way, focus solely on story quests.. the ones with the funny icons on your map/compass.

Story quests will net you great amounts of XP, and upon completion of a line, a skill point. You can ignore other quests and come back for them later, or finish everything you see for the sake of completion.

Zerg dolmens in Auridon or Alik'r Desert, there's always plenty of players doing it.

Take note, you don't get stronger as you level but actually get weaker since your stats are heavily boosted at lower levels, and also your gear stats depreciates unless you update with higher level gear.

And simply power leveling will starve you of skill points which you need plenty of to put into your passives to be strong at higher levels. So make sure to do your main quests and complete dungeon quests for skill points between power leveling.

Choose morphs that grants healing on your attacks instead early on to help if needed, you can always respec later, don't just follow guides since they tend to be more for end game.

I would suggest stay out of Vvardenfell early on, you will get wrecked in some areas there when you are low level. But most of the other map I've been too has been fairly easy in comparison. Also, as far as your skill level is concerned, every time you see a book shelf, search it and read the books. Once you get to level 25, it gets a lot easier. I haven't had any issues lately completing ... I don't have ESO+ so don't have dungeons, but caves, tombs, etc., I don't have any problem doing them completely solo.

I'm in pretty much the same boat as you with friends, I even bought one of my friends the game and he's never played it with me, was sort of a waste of money.

The Dungeon Finder really speeds up if you spec into healing or tanking and queue for the respective roles...getting a hit after around 4 minutes with my healer drasticly increased my exp gain. Besides that i would suggest just follow the quests. Either only main quest or also do sidequests. I don't really care about the story either and just click through dialog but there are some great boss fights hidden in those quests to spice things up. Also why the rush to level up?

Been playing solo since I started, self made with my own armor and weapons and a manor to boot, it IS possible. I focused on side quests first, there are going to be some bosses that will wreck you with magic, depending on what you're playing (I play a tank), so work on getting some resists and work on dodging/blocking and timing your hits. Play around with your skill bars and figure out what set up will sustain you during battle and find a balance.

What helped me quite a bit was making my own gear and keeping it updated as I leveled, yeah it'll take some time, so if you're looking to rush through levels and become super ubber elite as soon as possible, there are guides out there. My advice is to learn what play style fits you best, build on that, and soon enough you'll be the one wrecking enemies.

And don't just take my advice, there are plenty of good/nice players here that'll be willing to help you out. Good luck out there. =)

ESO is a single-player game with elements of group dungeons and PvP.
