There is literally no visual difference between wearing Imperial Style armor and applying the Imperial Style on your outfit. Look around and you'll see that most of the good looking players are the ones that are using the outfit system. But it's your choice.
Yes, that is the full Motif. No point in buying that for Crowns, if you ask me, since 50-70k gold is perfectly doable.
As for having the Imperial armour equipped, as said above, actually, you don't want that. Trust us. You really don't.
The whole point of the Outfit system is to allow you to wear items that are good for your character build, while looking exactly how you want the character to look. You can even play a role that requires you to wear Light armour to be effective, but your character can still look he or she is clad in a full suit of Heavy armour.
Yes, with the Imperial Edition you will be able to change any armour or weapon you are wearing to the Imperial style. I think most, if not all Imperial items have four variants (that is, four different swords, four different Heavy armour designs, etc.).
You meant Motif, not Style.
Imperial Motif - can be crafted and counts for achievements.
Imperial Style - is included in the Imperial Edition, can only be used at an Outfit station and does not count for achievements.
Edit: Unless there is a specific difference between the Imperial Style Unlocked through the Imperial Edition, which admittedly I would have to look at to verify, then they are the same thing.
No, they are not the same, if nothing, the Motif counts for achievements.
I would still advise not to buy the Motif in Crown Store, but the Imperial Edition comes with other bonuses and allows one to create Imperial characters too.
Then im a bit confused, how are they not the same? The 5k crown item gives the book, 'Crafting Motif 10: Imperial Style'. Which is the same as the one you can get in game for far cheaper. The item description for this states, "Use to learn the Imperial crafting style. Also teaches the equivalent Imperial Outfit Styles" The book you can get in game or buy from other players has the exact same description (it also includes the requirements for using it though). Presumably the crown one also gives the achievement too. The digital Imperial edition upgrade teaches you the Imperial outfit Style, but not the crafting style, and as such no achievements, but considering once the outfit style is learned, though you couldnt craft an item in the Imperial Style, you could still change your outfit slots to look Imperial anyways.
I wouldn't advise purchasing either crown items for what the OP wants, unless they want to unlock the Imperial race, or really really like and want the nibenay mudcrab or imperial horse. If all they are after is Imperial style, it can be bought in game fairly cheaply. They are in stores for around 60k gold, however, 2100 crowns is worth approximately 315k to 420k at currrent market value of crowns just to unlock the outfit style. By comparison the Imperial style book from the crown store has a crown value of 750k to 1 million, but again, can be bought off of stores for about 60k
So lets get back to basics and the actual question...
The best and cheapest way to get the Imperial look is to get the Imperial Edition for 2100 , cause then you maybe wont craft the Armor itself , but still look like a heavy Imperial since you´ll have the Outfit. No need to craft and wear the actual Imperial Armor if you wear the Imperial Outfit, it looks same.So i´ll get the Imperial Edition and not the Crafting book for 5000 crowns.
Did you even read what I wrote? That is not the best nor cheapest way.
The imperial race should have never been offered as a paid option in the first place. As pointless as paying crowns to change a name.
no im not trolling , I really am not.I loved Skyrim and the Imperial Legion , and i´d love to roleplay as an Imperial in Eso, but what I meant was the cheapest way with real money , since its impossible for me to get to 75k to get the Imperial Motif book...
