You want PvE and PvP endgame ESO.
You want a deeper PvP endgame BDO

ESO, BDO is like a second job if you want to stay competitive. It's not your traditional MMORPG where you get better gear for doing content, instead you upgrade your gear via RNG and each upgrade costs you a ton of ingame money, but that can be reduced with real life money hence the pay to win term for that game

Also there is no your typical dungeons, "quests" and stuff in BDO. It's mostly hack and slash to grind mobs and life skills which is mostly afking at the end of some fishing rod.
I got beta and launch version so i dont have it on my Steam account to show couple of hundred of hours

BDO = pay-to-win they try to say it isnt but it is. Trust me I came from BDO moved to ESO.

I would say ESO all the way though the jiggle physics in BDO is so tempting.

Bdo if you got the money, eso if you don't wan't to spend 300$ in a very short time.

bdo : if you have lots of money and time.

eso : if you want to save money and time.

I play eso. Avoid that gambling simulation known as bdo.

eso, way more rewarding for your time, bdo runs like sht and has way too much reliance on p2w microtransactions. Though its combat is way more in-depth and fast paced. Eso follows more of a traditional mmo formula.

BDO = Grinding, pay to win, fun combat, PvP endgame (classes & weapons are locked to race and gender, but extremely detailed character customization otherwise).

ESO = Casual, not pay to win (has a lot of paid content, debatable stand), simple combat (compared to other MMOs), better lore, story and quests (you take an actual interest in each individual quest), both PvE and PvP endgame, and combine any race, gender, class and weapon with each other.

While ESO has lots of paid content, most of it can be bought by in-game currency as you can now gift premium currency items to players, such as DLC (the most important bit). Only thing you can't gift I believe are houses, but you can buy some for gold too.

Oh I know, I simply added that notion because a lot of people have been very touchy about the subject lately on the forums.

Depends on where you live and when you play. Do you live in EU and play mostly on peak hours then BDO is the better option since ESO is a lot of times unplayable during these hours (battleground and dungeon queues are down very often and cyrodil pvp has unplayable lag). If you live elsewhere or play other hours then ESO is more casual, really fast to level and gear up while in BDO getting best gear in slot is next to impossible :P

ESO is literally the most casual friendly MMO on the market.

bdo = grind grind grind grind grind
eso = bad gameplay mechanic bad interface, good dungeons, graphics, bad
BDO = Nice graphics and combat play style but it's gets boring with time. Trivial history and kill 32164653 mob quests type and if you want to get strong in the game you need to dedicate a lot of time, it's a second job as someone said here ... And after that you have to deal with some RNG, it means if you have bad luck you'll stay weak and poor xD And yes you can buy stuff with real money that helps you a lot in the progress. You can buy it at the in game market, if someone put it on.

ESO = Graphics are not as realistic as BDO but its really beautyful anyway, very artistic I think. Combat it's more simple comparing both but the sort of builds you can do it's very interesting. The lore and history are incredible, very imersive and in the quests I can have a lot of fun, is not just run from side to side of the map and kill random mobs.

I have played like 3k hours BDO, but not by Steam. I did not get to the end game of ESO, but for the little I played I can tell you it's worth it. If you want casual game with a lot of fun pick ESO, not BDO. BDO its for who have money and time.

I went to BDO website. It demands I let Facebook and Google Analytics connect to my system. If they wont let me connect without running invasive programs on my system what else do they have running in the background. No thanks.
