Also possibly lots of tweaks and fixes resulting from that across the other DLC and base game?
Latest official post is from the 9th or something, but that's only supposed to be 2.7 if I read that right, but has to do with lots of things + Scalebreaker.
Regular maintenance shouldn't need such a huge patch, so something is definitely up.
Geez, at least put up patch notes / update the launcher info the moment the patch is rolled out so people can at least read up on what's going on while waiting for the hilariously huge patch to install.
Also, shower thought:
How ticked off are people now having to sit through the lengthy update to continue their free ESO+ trial that expires tomorrow? Sort of a ♥♥♥♥ move for Beth / Zen to essentially take half a work day off of such a treat. Or more, depending on download speeds for some people.
Edit: Can be sure of that since conky's total DL count is 3,23 GiB since I've powered up my machine today, and ESO's update is the only thing that downloaded something heavy.
cause they kinda re-updated almost the entire game
It downloads 3gb and then patches your game with it.
The article is about the upcoming changes, but I think there are changes in Update 23 too for the client - just as usual.
