First get some decent tanking sets. I would advise torug + ebon armory. Torug is crafted so it's easy, ebon is crypt of hearts so you'll have to do the dungeon till you get the pieces.
Then farm a tanking monster set you like. if you can, I would advise chudan, takes the resist buff part away.
Then just start by applying to normal craglorn raids (use the chat, it's the onlt way) and move to dlc normal ones.
When you get comfortable enough and you made a friendlist with those trial buddies you met in normal, go try vet trials and continue till you join or for a good trial guild.

With that CP you should start right at the basic craglorn trials:
- Hel Ra
- Aetherian Archive
- Sanctum Ophidia

The trial hotspot is craglorn. You should find people for normal trials there pretty easy.
For long term you should join a guild that offers introduction runs as well as progression runs.

That's actually the set I was working on lol, I've got all the ebon pieces I need and now I'm working on getting the blood visage parts, don't know where to start on making the torug stuff though

Just craft it at the Torug Crafting Stations or find someone to craft it for you.

Veteran trials are recomended for 300cp minimum, But with that cp you can do normal trials easily. There are always people in Craglorn looking for normal trials.

At least you don't want to get into Battlegrounds with that CP. Scaling for BG is a joke when it comes to post-level 50 characters.

CP is disabled for BGs

But yeah, to OP, as previously mentioned, do the normal Craglorn trials. There are groups being formed in there all the time. Once youve put some sets together and feel a bit more comfortable, you could try some of the other trials on normal. For vet trials, I highly recommend getting into a guild that offers them, and then talking with the ppl in them about what you need to do to be able to be viable for vet trials. Discord is a huge helper for vet trial resources.

I agree with the others. Join a friendly guild that offers training runs on trials, to learn the mechanics.

You could also join agroup in Craiglorn, just watch the zone chat where there are constantly people asking for members to join trials. as a tank I guess it is easy to find agroup, but the responsibility as a tank will probably feel greater as there are often just one tank, two healers and the rest are DDs in a group of 12, so in a random group there is a chance of meeting someone whos critical to the tanking of you dont know the mechanics, sadly.

But once you know the mechanics and feels you can master it ok, randoms are also fun.

( As a DD it is easier to learn mechanics through random groups, just don`t do as I did.. I joined cloudrest trial without knowing the mechanics... not a success, and people were not happy about me that first time, haha, oh well, I learned from that as well... :P )

Anyway, enjoy and good luck, and we might see each other in a trial from time to time :)

Enjoy :)
