Fair warning to RPG completionists, this game will drive you crazy
I bought this game outside steam a few days ago. It was good fun and all until i started running into quests which are broken.

NPC's that you are required to talk to do not spawn, or they are invisible, or stuck behind wall, or you get stuck in the dungeon because door won't allow you to open it, or the item you are supposed to pick up does not even show. I got stuck on 4 different quests in the 1st area, which I wanted to complete so I was doing every single quest I ran into.

The only way to "fix" many of these problems is to abandon the quest and start from the beginning, which sometime can lead to travelling across the entire map (I was lucky most of the time, because first thing I did was to discover all the wayshires so I could move around easily.)

And even doing that you can get unlucky and end up being stuck all over again on the same NPC or the very next one.

The worst part is that once you start googling you will find out plenty of people with the same problem and threads are usually at least 1 or 2 years old, yet here you stand stuck on the same stupid bug.

Didn't really have any other problem, except for EU servers ******* the bed almost every day at least once, but that didn't bother me that much.

theres perfectly good reasons why "completionists" avoid games with a greater difficulty and learning curve to some of its achievements.

because you dont need to pick 10 apples for grannys westfall stew being delivered to the local towns protector, 99% of these completionists are suffering from sentimental value hoarding disorders and care nothing about a challenge.

I would chop my left pinky off the day that i find one of these "completionists" which actually did all steam achievements and ingame related awards/challenges in all of its sub-category statistics without exploits or cheats which means over voice comms with an actual team.

It happens. But you must've been very unlucky.
I have Cadwell's Gold and completed almost every quest there is. I had to abandon and restart a quest because of a bug maybe 3 or 4 times in total.
Also possible that I was very lucky.
Don't give up. Game's been extraordinary unstable during the last two weeks.

lets just say that its only metaphorically but if someones able to disprove the theory, it being false or in any way inacurate, id spin the chamber of a rusty revolver in excitement.

I have noticed some changes in npc location in quests, recently.
The most notable one is in Clockwork City, a daily Clockwork Apostles quest, called: A Shadow Malfunction, you need to find initiate Favar after you have used the perception tabulator in three locations. Favar (the npc) is now located up into the rock ceiling, you have to navigate into the corner (it is tricky) to see (E) to register you found Favar. A player who was in the area when I did it, said it seemed like many npcs had been moved back on their axis in the last patch. Hopefully, this will be fixed.
So yes, there are some bugs but generally, you should have no problem completing all quests, many however are puzzling and take some time to work out. If in doubt, just search online, you and many others will have had similar difficulties. Enjoy :D

I have found Favar sitting on a river bank. After which I need to find Adjunct Daro. I think that is bugged! If I abandon this quest will I lose all perks associated with the quest and will the quest pop up later in the game?

Sometimes reloading UI and sometimes logging from player character and then logging back to character will resolve quests issues. I have recently played all DLC areas quests and I have seen a few quests that needed those fixes.

I've completed every zone in the game, listened to every quest, every dialog, done every dungeon... I have yet to find these bugs that people complain about so much. I've had stupid complications at various times on quest, but I never had to abandon anything, and reloadui helps 50% of the time. It's a big game, things happen. Best way to fix whatever is frustrating you is to just log off and log back in. Fixes everything without having to abandon quest and do all that jazz all over again. Yes, sucks that some times you have to do that, but beats having to redo entire quest when you can just log off and log back in in a minute or two. Fixes problems that I find in dungeons, fixes problems I find in quest, fixes finding NPCs that might be behind walls or invisible, (which the invisible thing is more likely a problem on your side, not the game), or any other jazz you come across that isn't supposed to be.

How can a pinky be cut off metaphorically? Is it cut off is it not, i don't se a possible metaphore on that issue.
I would 9/10 keep my pinkies ... or 8/9 if you have already found your completitionist ...
