How to trade crowns for Gold
I've heard you can trade crowns for gold and seen people mention it in chat. How does it work? Does one of the people send the gold as mail attachment, or is it done through an actual trade?

You cannot exchange Crowns for gold directly.

The side with the golds says what they want from the Crown Store, perhaps provide the gold in advance after a deal is made, then the side with the Crowns opens the Crown Store and buys the agreed upon item(s) as gifts for the side with the gold.

Mind that not everything can be gifted. One such example is houses. You also cannot gift anything that costs Crown Gems.

Their is a dedicated channel for doing it run on discord i would advise doing that.

But if you must do it in chat then be sure so get all the gold upfront as gold costs nothing to get but you paid money for crowns.

Warning about this:

If you decide to exchange Crowns for Gold with some random from general chat, screenshot your entire exchange with the individual in question. Pertinent information includes:

1. Their @userID
2. Your agreed upon exchange rate.
3. What you're agreeing to gift them, or them gift to you.
4. If you're gifting to them, open your sent gifts screen and screenshot both when you sent it, and when they accept it.

If the person scams you, simply open a ticket with support, and when you get a response, reply to the email with the screenshots.

What will likely happen if you'll be warned by support not to do it again, and they will reimburse you your Crowns/Gold (possibly not Crowns) one time only. The other person, since they broke the TOS and scammed someone, will be banned.

This all comes from personal experience. The person who'd scammed me even went as far as to try and change their UserID, which was a useless endeavor on their part since the "sent gifts" screen will show you their UserID, even if they change it.

Support reimbursed me the gold, and told me they'd do it this one time since it was the first time it'd happened.. and proceeded to tell me that the ESO market is pretty much a "buyer beware" situation.

That said, I would do as others have stated and hit up the "Official" Crown Exchange Discord to do your business. Not only do they stockpile excess gold to reimburse anyone who happens to get scammed, but I believe ZOS_Gina is actually a part of the "Tamriel Crown Exchange" Discord.

Yeah, you'll pay a 10% (?) fee, but it's worth it. And if Crowns are at a 300:1 ratio at the moment, now is a good time to sell Crowns.

Fact is Gold is free when you play a f2p game but crowns are bought you were lucky to get your gold back.

Using the discord channel is the way to go 100% but if i sell crowns in chat i want the gold 100% upfront like i said it costs nothing to farm gold but your own time.

Truth be told Gold isn't worth that much anyway its really easy to get because Eso is a really easy game to grind cant understand why people want to sell crowns but just my opinion.

Because the fastest ways to get gold in this game revolve around dedicating a massive amount of play time to joining a trading guild and spending your time farming mindlessly, and it just isn't fun.

Even if you max out Legerdemain skills and steal your daily cap of green+ items, it pales in comparison to what you can get in a week if you spent that same amount of time farming crap.

For me, I'd rather spend my time playing the game instead of farming crap for gold. So being able to sell Crowns like that, for me, is a pretty big convenience. I just wait for sales and buy a 21k package, wait a month or two for the exchange rate to jump back up, and sell for massive piles of gold all at once.

Why would you need massive amounts of gold seriously?

I made a million in 4 weeks selling crap on a guild trader in Daggerfall all my crafts are maxed out i have 257 champion points i don't even farm really play around 2-3 hours after work rather than watch telly.

This is by far the easiest mmo to get money in and ive played quite a few.

First hour i play everyday is spent on doing my crafting writs on 13 characters and together they put 60,424 gold into my bank = EVERYDAY.
