can i play eso with intel hd graphics 3000?
yeah... so i bought elder scrolls online through steam and whenever i click play it tells me 'your directx is unsupported' and i think the reason it wont launch is because of my graphics card. anyone know if a intel hd graphics 3000 can run eso?

i don't know about your graphics card although it sounds old man.... i have a nvidia 1080 gt and from others i am hearing from it runs on max with no issues and add ons too... if your graphics card is around 5 years get another one man its like an unknown rule see around 5 years is when mine blows up anyways... same for modems and routers as well cause of the tech involved.... anyways man good luck and make sure ur direct x is updated to 9 or 11 i think. :Ebonheart:

You will not be able to play man. You're using an integrated card which isn't meant for gaming. You need to buy a dedicated graphics card to play most any game these days.

ive played on hd 3000. just update the direct x. its crap but playable. ps hd 3000 is intel integrated graphics that comes on the processor. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/ to check the latest drivers if any are available. To up date direct x

To use the DirectX Diagnostic Tool to determine the version of DirectX that is installed on your computer, follow these steps:
Click Start, and then click Run.
Type dxdiag, and then click OK.
On the System tab, note the version of DirectX that is displayed on the DirectX Version line.
On the various tabs, check the version information for each DirectX file.
When you are finished checking file versions, click Exit.

I wouldn't try play with a card like that. Once you do dungeons and trials it will be a slide show or crash.

Even if you can manage to get the game to run on integrated graphics, as others have stated.. it would run very, very poorly. In any area where there are other players, like Major Cities, you would likely:

1. Crash the game entirely.
2. Potentially overheat the CPU from the strain.

Not only is integrated graphics just.. usually bad, but this game is very, VERY terribly optimized; to the point that the most expensive PC you could possibly build right now, using all the latest and greatest hardware, would still experience frame drops on even 2k resolutions.

The development team is, apparently, working on massive optimizations and such starting 2020 (they have a "roadmap" regarding this), but until the the game is both ported to a new Engine (or the current one is completely overhauled) and given dedicated servers.. it just isn't going to play well no matter what they do.

As far as I know, neither of those things are part of their "solution" to the poor performance.. although maybe by then enough people will have complained that they actually decide to do one of those massive undertakings to make their game run well.

I look for the average player to net around 10 FPS at best by the end of those changes. And if the have the audacity to implement the kind of thing that you see in Korean MMORPGs (3D to 2D model down scaling in crowded areas, for example.. TERA was bad about that crap).. well, players will just leave in droves.

But anyway.

probably not the 3000 but maybe. im playing with a 4000 pretty well obviously not maxed out graphics but they have good video options for many levels of systems. i have played games with a 3000 and its not good at all and it is usually coupled with other low hardware as in not gaming laptops and older ones. as for directx it probably needs updated check this out
