I don't know if Minion has what you're looking for here, but yeah, that seems like the best option for you.

The game pretty much builds this in with the compass and waypoints though, so it seems unlikely to me that there'd be something akin to what you're looking for. Even when a quest has multiple objectives or you have multiple quests on your compass, you can create a custom waypoint on the on you want to go to and set it as active in your Journal to make it stand out more.
