Are you sure they are really nude? They could just be wearing one of the holiday costumes-- the Nordic bathing costume, from a distance, could look similar to regular underwear-- with their regular set underneath it.

As others have said it's possibly a costume, or they really are naked and killing WBs. There are sets with two or 3 piece benefits that give Phys/Spell res (rings and amulet), + Lady stone gives phys/spell res. There's also skills that passively boost damage mitigation (Nords for instance)
