Newish player, level 40 nightblade, tired of getting 3 shot while playing solo because I have no sustain and because I’m squishy as all ♥♥♥♥.
I’m doing the clockwork city questline right now. And getting absolutely obliterated. 3 hits and I die to the defense cores while they take barely any damage. And the hits are really hard to dodge too I have to keep spamming invisibility just to not get hit. My gear is generally around my level. Using dualwield and bow.

I’m trying to work towards a higher sustain build but I don’t think even that would save me here. Every hit takes out massive chunks off my health. Is nightblade the least tanky class in the game or something? Because I just keep dying over and over again. Or this area meant for higher levels? or for multiplayer? Or am I just being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?

Are you using gear sets? Are you focusing on a single attribute only (Stamina or Magicka)? Are you using light and heavy attacks too or only skills?

I am using a few pieces that give me set bonuses. I’m focusing on Stamina. And yes I use light and heavy attacks and my skills.

I main stamnb , I will give you a few pointers.

you need to play pvp for a skilled called "Vigor" that is the primary healing ability for a Stam Nightblade

stamnb is the one of the highest dps class in the game, with great self sustain due to a skill called leeching strikes, but self healing is limited, you need to kill the enemy before they kill you type of deal.

search any stam nb pve build guides, since you not max cp yet, dont worry about gear, but use all the skills a stam nb would use in those guide, and combine them for maximum performance.

Standard question. Do you have at least a self heal and do you use potions.

Also while leveling there is an equipment scaling in place, so you want to renew your stuff often.

About healing. Assuming you use dual wield, the first skill, flurry has a morph that heals you, bloodthirst. That one should keep you alive through most of the game.

As a bow user, you have an access to a pretty good heal - the Scatter Shot. No need for grinding for Vigor, unless you really like PvP.

And, as Sajah said above me, Flurry has a nice heal too.

ahahaha screw pvp not doing it sorry.

Tried flurry i think, i'm trying to get this skill called siphoning strikes at the moment but it's taking me ages.

You can always carry a heavy armor set, for situations like this.

If you're dying in overland the problem is you.
Katmorphous333 Oct 20, 2019 @ 4:20pm
Some part of the game can be hard when your the only target and yes nb is the squishiest class but thats because it has the highest crit and dps combo. Even worst since they nerfed evasion. If you dont have leeching yet, Vigor is the best stamina healing skill, either you get it or you respec to get more health to beat that single mission. But if you really are stuck you can add me if you want, im full endgame so Iv got nothing better to do @Katboy333.

Overland in this game is extremely easy. More easy than any other TES game.

The Defense Core boss was easy for me, but then I was above 500cp when I defeated it. In your case, its better to call a friend or a member of your guild to help you.

PvP in this game is cheaters galore. Dont lose your time with it.

trust me grind vigor in pvp is a pain is the A S S .

but its worth it, most efficient heal for any stamina class, if you just go in to pvp, take a few keeps, go with zergs, it will take you maybe a day or two.

or play battlegrounds, regardless win or loose you will gain alliance rank , do it once a day, you will get it one day.

for quick level up your skills, put the skills in your bar, you dont have use it, just make sure its there.

ya they are really squishy. there are sustain skills like path n healing blades(of course vigor too) for example n your dps n dodger/stealther. cp helps a lot but your resistances will always still be lowish. nightblade takes a lot to get into the grove and is probably one of the more skill heavy classes(meaning you rely on a lot of skill) but also one of the funner one to play imo as a stamblad.

there are tank blade builds but it seems a little offf to me but there is also at least one passive that depends on heavy armor as well.

NBs are only skwishy if you dont use them correctly. They have skills that lend them insaine damage mitigation. You shouldnt be using invisibility as a means of survival, as unless im mistaken that has no stam morphs, so your going to forever have sustain issues on a stam toon with it. Spamming any mag ability on a stam toon is going to lead you to run out of mag fast regardless. Also, food is an often overlooked buff, particularly the ones that give you health, stam and stam regen boosts. As mentioned, using pots also helps with sustain, as they not only restore your resources, but grant a temporary buff that increases regen for the specific stats. Vigor is hands down the best heal stam has access to in the entire game, it doesnt take much effort at all to lvl up the assault skill tree to unlock it, doesnt matter how much you hate pvp, you should do this.

For a nightblade, you need to develop the Syphoning skill line to get healing. Go for Strife first, and aim for Sap Essence if you are a magblade. For stamblades, the best would be Leeching Strikes. There is also a bow skill, Draining Shot, which heals fast and you can use in situations where you have plenty of stamina to spend. In any case, magblades heals better.

Vigor is a bad skill, wont heal anything. PvPers talk a lot about it, because they use cheating scripts which cast Vigor five times instead of one, so they can heal from 10% to 100% in less than a second, while you struggle with it. The only useful skill in the PvP lines is Rapid Maneuver, which you can unlock by going to one single BG session.

Dont listen to PvPers, most of them are cheaters and they are destroying the game with their calls for nerfs. 1vXer is a term for cheating scripts, lag switchers and route hacking.

so the other night when a dc stamblade @#$%% player attacked me with 10 times fast poison shot, he was cheating?
man I'm going to use the "report player" option much much more.
