Viper versus anything else
Currently use viper jewelry and weps. What should I look into for a viable alternative for dmg.

Depends on what you're using it for: PvP, or PvE?

For PvP, sets with procs like Viper's Sting are pretty much the meta. There are better alternatives, of course, but they are for more survival-oriented builds (like tanks).

For PvE? You shouldn't use Viper pieces at all.

Armor sets:

Hunding's Rage (some damage for yourself)

Night Mother's Gaze (utility for yourself and your group)

Leviathan (dungeon set; Crypt of Hearts; all set bonuses are Critical rating; a 5/5 of this set is probably worth 25% Critical by itself) (I am unsure of the actual amount a 5/5 offers.)

Twice Born Star (extra resources, 2 Mundus Stones; only really shines in Trials with Warhorn)

For your armor sets, you're going to want to craft them around whatever Monster set you're going to use. Considering Monster sets are Head/Shoulder slots only, that means you want Chest, Legs, Gloves, Boots, and Belts.

As for a Monster set itself, Kra'gh is essentially the best right now (for Stamina builds). With one piece you get Physical Penetration, and with two pieces a great proc ability. Obviously you want Divines on all of your armor. Getting a Medium Divines Monster set Shoulder piece can be incredibly hard due to RNG, but it's what you have to do. (In case you don't know, you need to do daily pledges to get keys to unlock Maj's chest for Kra'gh Shoulders. It's the only chest that has them. If you aren't using Kra'gh, look up what chests drop what set pieces.)

For Jewelry:

Robust Agility set (Stamina builds)

Arcane WIllpower set (Magicka builds)

Vicious Ophidian, purple or better. (Or the same set from one of the other Trials) The 3 piece bonus from accessories nets you some stats and a massive +5% damage increase in all Dungeons/Trials. This is essentially best-in-slot for everyone right now. For the same set bonus that comes from the other Trials, the only difference is the secondary stats (crit, resources, etc.) they provide. I believe the Vicious Ophidian set offers Critical.

For weapons, you're ultimately going to want Veteran Maelstrom Arena weapons... but this is much, much easier said than done. For reference, you'll want:

vMA Dagger, Sharpened
vMA Dagger OR Axe (Dagger preferably, for the extra Crit from DW passives), Sharpened OR Precise (Sharpened preferably, but this is subjective)
vMA Bow, Sharpened

Having these weapons will change your rotation a bit if you're a Nightblade, and you aren't already using Rapid Strikes (because without them, Nightblades fare better spamming Surprise Attack).
