This. If you actually get good and fast at lockpicking, you might even enjoy ninjaing other's chests like the rest of us.
They can only access your chest if the time has ran out not if the pick breaks if you still got time what people wrote or said.
And I didn't like it at the start too but now slowly getting into it .Can be queit amusing unless you done it for ages then it might loose its charm.
after coming from skyrim where i was pretty good at picking locks, i must admit i have no idea how to even do it in ESO. it's not making sense to me yet, maybe ill watch a youtube tutorial.
But honestly, the game overall seems lackluster compared to skyrim. i'm walking around this goofy looking cartoony environment and i gotta say, i'm not feelin' it. i don't think i'll be investing my time with this one.
Lockpicking in Eso is like an upgrade to oblivion Lockpicking. Skyrim was more straightforward and more fun/exciting when you unlocked it. I just find this the easiest which makes me feel good cause I can actually do it lmao.
And yes, it is lackluster to skyrim and if you were expecting skyrim coop then yes you will be dissapointed. It's an mmo that used elder scroll lore. It's not for everyone so can't blame you for not liking it
1. Slide pick over tumbler.
2. Press down mouse button until it starts to wiggle and you hear the sound.
3. Release mouse button, tumbler now stays in place.
4. Repeat for the other tumblers.
However, I agree that when you're first starting out, it is vastly different than what you're used to if you're coming from Skyrim.
They should add a "practice chest" or something that can't break your picks, so you can git gud at it before setting out in the world. I think adding such a thing to any Outlaw Refuge would be a good idea; either one chest that bounced in difficulty, or just a room containing all the different levels.
Master chests are quite fun.
