If you used up all your 8 character slot and still not enough, then u must love the game, spend some money for things you love isnt too bad I'd say.

I spend a lot money on crown crate n stuff, some people say its waste of money, I say I enjoyed, I consider buying a decorative doormat waste of money, but other people love it , I dont judge.

One month ago (Aug, 22-30) you could purchase 5500 crowns for 23.99$, which is 8$ for Character slot and 4000 Crowns as change. Or 3 Character slots + 1000 Crowns for, i dunno, costume or two.

i'm at 9 slots, can't afford ESO plus anymore so had to buy slot for crafting mats, but collect only top end mats.

Maximum bank size is 240 slots, which is kinda enough for end-grade crafting materials. With top bank and 2-3 mule characters its kinda easy to live without ESO+. I'm purchasing ESO+ for 3 months every year for 2 things: redecorating my houses (ESO+ gives +100% furnitue limits) and collecting resources from mule characters.

max bank slots is 250, with ESO plus puts it at 500 slots. I got one character with 200 slots and he is max with 200 rings and amuluts

Just subscribe to the game for a month and you get 1500 crowns plus the subscription. If you have used all 8 slots up and need more but cant afford $15 then maybe you should get a job...

Dont forget that 90% of ESO players use stand-alone client, even those who bounded ESO to Steam. Like me. Playing ESO every day for 4-6 hours since beta, aaand... welp, fck :) Steam counts only games launched via Steam.

- Lots of mule characters. Like, additional 140 slots bags to store goods via Bank. You can transport stuff with Bank, which is shared between all characters, you know? So you dont have to play on mules. Just get 'em bag upgrades and place near any Banker.
- Making 2 characters of every class and type (Mag Sorc, Stam Sorc, Mag DK, Stam DK, etc), which is stupid, but possible.

And again, as mentioned above, if he's doing all that, he shouldn't be complaining about spending some money. Even if they are just bank alts, it's still data zenimax have to store on their server. I think 8 free is plenty generous.
