Mages guild quests

I am new to the game. I joined the mages guild in Vivec city but I cannot find any quests for the guild. Am I missing something? Or is the only way to advance to find books?

The guild quests start in the first major city of your faction, Davon's Watch, Daggerfall, and Vokuhl Guard..same for the fighters guild, join them too. Fighters Guild give the Dolmen quests and the skill line gives a few passives you will want even as a Magika player.

The first few quests for mages/fighters guild start in the fitst major town of your alliance ( Davons Watch/Daggerfall/Vulkhel Guard/) but then they continue in other zones of the same alliance.
So once you finish the quest from the first zone, it directs you to a different/next zone for the next quest in line, or rather the quest giver for the next quest in line is in the major city of the next alliance zone..

It took me over 700 hours to get the Mages Guild Ultimate Meteor.

You can gain Mages guild experience by doing mages guild quests as well as the lore books.

it's best to do Main questline along with Mages guild and Fighters Guild, you'll understand why once you start doing all 3 together.
