Iron in Morrowind?
Does Iron Ore spawn in Morrowind? I'm trying to make myself some weapons and armor, but I can't seem to find any iron

metal nodes are player specific to your player level and then to blacksmith level.. For me, a lvl 50 that's a master blacksmith they always show up as rubidite ore. If you have no blacksmith skill and are max level half the time it will be iron, half the time rubedite.

you won't find any iron if you already put points into blacksmith and then leveled over 15.

There are nodes everywhere in Morrowind, especially in the rockier parts in the northern 2/3. Try putting a point into the passive that makes them glow, iron is the most camoflaged as it just looks like a brown rock. The rest of the ores kind of loudly stand out and can be spotted from far away.

I'll try that, thanks. I'm still new so my blacksmithing is rank 1

My maxed out crafter only finds high level mats, to get iron ore then iron ingots, i need to jump on low level toon with no crafting skills.

Also it works the same for woodworker and tailor. For enchanting it's only for the potency runes (as you can get the others at any level and crafting level) and for alchemy it's only for the water/poison vials, the plants are only tied to the geography (each spot can only roll certain types of plants, like nirnroot will only roll on spots that are near water sources, like rivers, lakes and seas).
Cooking is much more complicated (there are fixed spots, level spots and random spots for everything).
