You cannot use your steam account to log into eso website. You have to create a new account on eso website in order to play Elcer Scrolls Online.

i did create a new account on website, but u need the launcher to link both accounts up, and my launcher doesn't work, so i uninstalled the game, wanted to reinstall on the launcher that i can download from webpage

If you log in to eso website there should be a way to contact support there.Just to let you know the game is now down for a few hours for Maintaintence.

i don't think they got email support .... you gotta register an account on the web and then go to support, but they'll ask for a game consultant file which you can only get if you're able to get the launcher start .... and i'm like " how the hell am i suppose to give you that file if my launcher won't even start properly "
Chicken Nov 28, 2017 @ 1:37am
thats why its so annoying, i can't download the launcher straight from the website, coz it says my steam account has not purchased it, idk if it had to do with that my friend bought me it
ButteredToast Nov 28, 2017 @ 1:47am
well i don't think the problem is your friend bought you the game .... because if it is so that'll be a rip off and you can sue the company ... so yea ... it's just a really really bad error for us all ...

already tried this to fix the launcher?

1. set steam run as admin
2. open ESO dir : Steam\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client
3. look for ESO.exe and ESO64.exe
4. set both of them As Admin
5. open ESO launcher dir : Steam\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\Launcher
6. look for Bethesda.net_launcher.exe, and set it to Admin as well
7. close and launch steam again

Nasi_Kucing thanks for reply, but i m not using a pc tho, its a mac, which you can't really run as administrator, and there is no Bethesda.net_launcher
