Unless if you just started the game, meaning you got no mounts n pets, but then again, the mounts n pets in the pack is very pedestrian, Id save them crowns and get some thing much better later on, such as crown crates mounts .......
Don't worry about min maxing or anything, just throw on the exp scroll when you start doing dungeons. The time freezes when you log out.
Probably not the best MMORPG to start off with, as there are others that're better suited for people new to the genre, but at least the content is 80-85% soloable with only needing to group for dungeons/raids and pvp.
The solo-ability is the reason I was willing to givve it a shot actually! THanks for the info, I think I will grab the sale Adept pack. Those riding lessons sound worthwhile.
Cause you'll likely ♥♥♥♥ up your first build XD
I'm the the voice of experience mate. I brought the starter pack way back when I first start to play the game, I really regret the decision , because there are so much more stuff I'd spend crowns on, the horse n the pet in the starter pack I dont even use it at all, there are cooler mounts n pets in the store. Not to mention I still have the crown store gems, grand repair kits sitting in my bank catching dust. The midnight steed just cant match with the dromthra senche.
The experience scrolls are not advantageous to a new player because they would spend more time on a quest , learning the mechanics.
whereas for an experienced player , they would level 10-15 levels under 2 hours.
But then again, this is my personal opinion, I would save them crowns and wait for something truely better to come out.
This is a very good point. I am a VERY slow player, and gathering dust items would bother me. It would be smarter for me to learn WTH I am doing, and save up crowns for a sale in the future. I'm sure there will be another sale someday, and whenever I redeem the Humble Monthly ESO key I'll have another 1500 crowns to spend.
mount is important cause its boring and time consuming to run everywhere, and the sooner you start training your mount the better, cause it takes a loooong ass time to max a mount's stats (speed/bag space/stamina), this can only be done once evey 20h and takes 180 days to max all stats and its PER CHARACTER.
Free mount might be good, but in ESO mount's stats depend on character, so no difference between10k gold horsie and hidden special APEX mount like Adamat Dwarven Horse from Crown Crates you can get with veeeeeery small chance and spending ~30k Crowns (and still no guarantee).
And you can get 10k gold in few hours via thievery. Just get some lockpicks, goto Rivenspire and break doors on house near bank to level Legerdemain. Search house for green and blue treasures + recipies. Lockpick safeboxes if there will be spawn. And after house is clean + all 3 doors are lockpicked, goto Outlaw's Refuge, behind crating house. When you enter it, zon changes, so when you go back to city, house will be refreshed.
When you got enogh Legerdemain to get Trafficker lvl1, get it. Daily fence and laundry limits will be increased from 50 to 110. Further levels are trash, but lvl1 is must have. After that just run city in circles and search every house and lockpick every safebox. There's 1 near woodworking, 3 in Fighter's Guild, 2 in shops, 1 in house on square, 1 in tavers, 1 in alchemist house, one in corner house, 1 in enchanter, 2 in Mages Guild, 1 in big house near gates and 2 in 3-doors house. Safeboxes are shared with other players and have respawn time about 10 mins.
So just with few lockpicks and knowledge Ctrl = stealth mode you can make ~30k gold in one hour every day, per character. And if you got recipie... some blue ones may cost up to 50k gold.
So, mount is good, but you can get first horse from stables in no time.
Other stuff is minor and useless. I mean, you can use it, but no big deal.
5 exp scrolls in store costs 1k crowns
10 riding lessons 1k crowns
+mount +dress + kits +gems to save gold for first time
just dont store them for end game
Exp scrolls are same with in-game ambrosia, 3k gold each.
Crown repair kits are better to save, because those repair all of equiped items, not 1 items per kit like normal ones. But you can buy normal ones, no big deal, except crown ones dont have level limits.
Riding lessons is kinda best part of this pack. If you gonna play on one character.
Mount = 10k gold horse with another skin.
Other consumables are useless.
