Getting Julianos' set
Hey there, I've started to play this game quite recently, and I'm following a PvE mage build that requires me to have Julianos' armor set and staves.

I'm still level 26 and have no idea how to get/craft that. I read online that I need to research traits to craft it, how'd I do that? Couldn't really find a guide on it

How do I research a trait?
Updated 07/04/2017 03:18 PM

Research is a crafting process for Blacksmithing, Clothing and Woodworking that will help players discover new traits. Traits are specific attributes that will increase some statistics of the players' gear. Traits can be added to an item by including certain gemstones in the recipe while crafting the item.

To start researching a trait, first find a blacksmithing, clothing, or woodworking station and interact with it using [E] on PC/Mac ([A] for Xbox One, [Cross] for PlayStation 4). Click on the Research option located on the top right corner of the crafting menu. The Trait Line panel organizes items by category (such as Robe, Shoes, Gloves, etc.). The Trait Progress panel shows which gem resource is necessary for which trait (these are locked until the character has learned them).

Available traits will be flagged as "Researchable" if the player has a corresponding item type in their inventory. Press [R] on PC/Mac ([A] for Xbox One, [Cross] for PlayStation 4) to research a trait. A new window will pop up, prompting the player to select an item to research. Keep in mind that this will destroy the chosen item. Research has a long cooldown, and only one trait per crafting type can be researched at a time. The cool down is applied per crafting type, so a player can research a trait in Woodworking, Blacksmithing, and Clothing at the same time.

If you're looking to learn a specific trait, look for items that have that trait. A sword with "Sharpened" will allow you to research that trait for swords.

Once the trait has been learned, the gem associated with it can be included in item recipes to add that trait to the final product.

Hello and welcome to ESO:) I created a Beginner Video Guide about Crafting and Sets. Maybe that will help you a bit:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKrAjMO-DMk

For the Julianos Set you need 6 Traits researched for every piece of armor/weapon you want to craft. Since that takes a bit of time you could ask for now if a friend or guild memeber could craft that set for you:) The Crafting Station for the Julianos Set is in Wrothgar and you need the Orsinium DLC.

I see, got no friends atm in ESO. And since i'm only level 28, paying for that set should be quite expensive and it's pretty hard for me to get gold.

Thank you very much for the vid

i would just grind out and get to champion point stage, level 50 i think it is so that then you can start using the cp160 gear.. waste of time and money if you craft julianos sets early or any other set.
Once you get to the stage were you can wear cp160, then craft julianos in gold, i use this and necro sets, then one piece slimcraw.... easy sets to get and does most pve easy enough but the 2 gold necro rings were about 400k each though.

That's pretty expensive lol, but I guess once you hit lvl 50, there are some ways to make gold quick?

Technically there are ways now, just have to know the market.

Thieving can be very profitable, selling raw materials can be profitable, crafting training sets for people at multiple levels is profitable.

Also, when you hit level 50, you start earning champion points that allow you to better focus your character (more penetration damage, defense against crits, things like that).

Current gear max level is lvl 50, CP 160. You can keep earning CP, but can only spend 660 points on 3 sections, so 220 a section.

Any symbol that looks like a little pitchfork in towns leads to outlaw refuge. Inside, there is a fence where you can sell a limited amount of stolen goods daily. As you sell more, you gain levels in legerdemain to make it so you can sell even more daily.

Thieves guild gives you more skills to steal and sell better.

You're level 26. Why are you trying to follow end game stuff? Enjoy the game. Play whatever skills you want. Gear will be outdated every level.

I'm taking it as they are trying to work towards the build, towards the end game. Not a bad idea. Some find it easier to just blitz to end and reset skills. Others like to take the time to gather more skill shards. Whatever works.

Yea, at the moment I'm collecting every lore book and looking for shards. I like to explore a bit before starting to level.

Also like to finish every single quest in a certain area, but unable to do so. I got an addon called Quest Map, and for example, at Glenumbra it shows me a few quests I haven't completed, and according to my quest/achievement list I'm still missing a few, but once I walk over there, there's nothing for me to accept even though I got the required level

Some of those are either glitched or require other quests to be completed.

Your gear gets really important later in the game when you have max level, now its not really necessary to get the perfect gear. In fact i would recommend you to level light, medium and heavy armor so you are prepared in the future:) Also you dont need legendary or epic armor while you are leveling^^ that would be a waste of materials :) You even could run around in random armor pieces without a problem^^ Of course it makes your adventure a bit easier if you have Set Bonuses which support you a bit. But while you are low level you dont have to spend so much thoughts on your current armor.
Add me in ESO (@Tianlein). I can build you any Set and we do it in the training trait so you can level a bit faster :)
