Weapon damage decreasing?
As the title says, got a staff with 1108 damage, but after 1 or 2 hours it's now at 1034. How can I make it so it goes back up to the initial damage? Would repairing it help?

are you below cp160?

Are you sure its the same staff? Weapon damage is static-- unless you were affected by some kind of buff at the time you viewed it initially.

Could it be because it's enchanted? As the bar depletes, the damage seems to decrease

charge your weapon with soul gem if enchanted

Charge shouldn't affect weapon damage, but worth giving it a try.

All weapons and armor have durablilty, and their effectiveness goes down with use.
After using the same weapon for that long it's not going to be as strong as it was at the start without repairs. It will probabaly need a recharge as well.

Using a repair kit, or buying repairs at a merchant will restore the weapon/armor to it's full effectiveness again.

Also, keep on eye on the enchantment for a weapon with is different than durability.

You will need to recharge the weapon by right-clicking and choose recharge, then choose a soul gem.
Ok thank you very much.

Kinda hard to get used to this game, lots of stuff I still need to learn

You can NOT repair weapons, so weapon durability does not exist.
What kind of enchantment does your weapon have?
It sounds like your weapon enchantment ran out.

What it sounds like is, You were a lower level than when you found the weapon you're talking about. You leveled a few times your weapon damage starts to go down since you're outleveling your current gear. The only time the weapon damage stays the same is if the weapon is level 50 and a 160 champion point requirement.

Oh, that I didn't know. Thanks for letting me know

If you become a good crafter, you can upgrade all your gear every 10 levels to stay strong.

I did that up to CP 160.

a) You're outleveling your weapons, i.e. character level surpasses weapon level.

b) You're losing scaling bonus, i.e. game scales you up to be competitve with a fully leveled char (Level 50 CP 160). To compensate for skillpoint and gear choice deficiency, the scaling is stronger the lower your level is. Even with level appropriate weapons/gear, you will get lower stats with higher levels up until you reach a.m. cap.
