How to level skill trees ?
I have read about it but they make no sense.

I'm playing ja dk and have a skill sloted from each tree yet one is leveling way faster than others ? My draconic power is leveling very slowly.

I am also a vampire and have been fro over 20 hours yet it's only level 2.

I just find the leveling of trees so confusing.

Vampire lvls very slow at low lvl, it's ment for higher lvl players so it takes ages maxing out. Skill trees lvl up with quest hand ins and anything that gives xp.
Say you have heavy armor on and a 2h sword you'll get xp for those skills, if you want xp for a different weapon or what ever switch them before handing stuff in.

The leveling of skill lines depends on the skill line.

For class lines, it's the number of skills you have slotted. Like if you slot 3 draconic powers skills, you'll get 3 times more xp for the line.
Also the 2nd doesn't count, only the skillbar you are using gets the xp you gain.

For weapons it's the same with the addition that wielding the weapon counts as a skill (so you can just equip a weapon to level the line and use other skills).

For armor, you get xp depending on how many armor pieces you have
equipped.

Race skills level up as you level up (you'll hit 50 when you reach about lv 50).

Alliance lines get xp when you get alliance points.

Vampire is like class skills, but it's very slow at low character levels (it's supposed to be a high level skill line).

Crafting skills level up with crafting and decronstructing and dailies.

Legerdemain is about doing pickpockets, lockpicking, fencing and laundering.

Now comes the wierd ones :

Soul magic gains 1 level for each main quest you do (6 levels for 6 quests in the quest line).

Werewolf is a kill count, you need to kill mobs in werewolf form to fill the bar, everything counts for 1 xp.

Mages guild is getting lorebooks and doing the dailies.

Fighter's guild is killing daedra, vamps and werewolves and doing dailies.

thieves guild and dark brotherhood is daily missions and infinite jobs.

Undaunted are about dailies and group dungeons and raid achievements.
