Requesting a refund
I purchased this game yesterday, and downloaded it overnight last night, I then had to endure another 12 gigs of downloading patches after the initial 85 gigabyte download. I decided I did not like the game and requested a refund having played the tutorial which lasted around 30 minutes. You appear to be claiming I actually played for seven hours, however its not statistically possible as I wasnt at home till 8pm and only started the game at 9:15pm and logged out at 1030pm. The 2 hour refund rule should be in effect here. I dont know how you equate a tutorial and char creation to 7 hours of gameplay. I still would like a refund thank you. It doesnt matter how much it cost. My account is in good order and I have never requested a refund on any game before.

1. You can't get a refund here
2. You're not eligible for a refund. The download counts as playtime. This is the same for everyone else.
Just try playing & enjoy the game, it's the best in the series by far.

the download counts as playtime? really? so a 7 hour download counts as playtime? Then technically I havent even played the game then have I. That doesnt make any sense. It says on the refund 2 hours of playtime. If i spent 7 hours of downloading a game, I cant possibly have played it then now can I?

Refunds on Downloadable Content

DLC purchased from the Steam store is refundable within fourteen days of purchase, and if the underlying title has been played for less than two hours since the DLC was purchased, so long as the DLC has not been consumed, modified or transferred. Valve will, upon request via help.steampowered.com, issue a refund for any title that is requested within 14 days of purchase and has been played for less than 2 hours - this includes online, offline and shared library playtime. Even if you fall outside of the refund rules we've described, you can submit a request and we'll take a look at it.

Says playtime not download time. I simply want my refund.

Because the steam version is just a way to access the launcher, which then connects to ESO servers, they count it as playtime, just like most MMOs on steam.

You can rattle off whatever tf you want, unless you can convince nicely to steam support that all that time was downloading, not playtime, you are out of luck, mate.

Especially since download times vary a lot between people. I have great internet, was about to get it downloaded, updated and started within 2 hours. Other people have to literally wait a day for everything to be ready.

The refund page clearly states PLAYTIME, it doesnt matter whether it took 1 hour or 50 to download from the steam interface. Actual playtime was less than one hour. Ill just keep rattling on at steam support.Ill keep requesting through the refund interface.

It doesn't matter how much you post the same comment with different wording, the fact that any time you have the launcher or game open goes towards your steam "playtime" will not change.

Your profile says "6.7 hrs on record" - because you launched it through steam it doesn't matter if it was playtime or download time. It was time logged on their servers, and you would be hard pressed (I'd say it's impossible) to convince them that what their system says is wrong - especially because you have no real proof that anything you claim is true.

yeah and 30 mins logged into the actual game, which steam would know because thats how long I was logged into the actual game through the interface. the burden of proof is on me because steam is too lazy to prove otherwise, with leaves me with nothing, the only consolation for me is, I only played it for a short time and didnt waste any real money on it. The principal of the refund says playtime, they know exactly how long I was logged in. Anyway its done.

I hate the tutorial too but I love the game, I would play until you reach level 6 but I guess you didn't have that type of time or patience to do that.

nope and i have just submitted my third request for a refund and ill keep submitting till they give it to me, it says playtime, not download time. Its clearly listed that way.

I just didnt like the game once i got out of the tutorial, I realised I didnt want to grind through the game like other mmo's I just simply dont have the time anymore. Its not like my request is unreasonable and by their own definition I only played for like 30 mins, I am entitled to my refund under that clause.

If you're not getting a refund the first time spamming refund requests won't get you one. Put in a support ticket and talk to a person instead of spamming refund requests
