Error 104 Not enough space for update even though I have over 300gb free on my hard drive?
Trying to get back into playing ESO but having ridiculous amounts of issues. After many various error messages I have unistalled and reinstalled the game, restarted the laptop and I am now stuck with an error 104 message claiming I do not have enough space for the update, despite having over 350gb of free space on my hard drive. I have a gaming laptop which has run ESO before now so I dont get why it is causing problems now? Anyone know how to fix this?

Install space isn't just about where you install the game. I you have 2 partitions (one system and one for data and apps), the partition having the temp folder (usually in the system partition) also needs space.

That's a very common issue.

This is the only game that ever gave me this problem...It could make a temp folder in another drive or just don't make any and instal the stuff right where it is needed.

I don't think you know how this works or why temp space is needed.

As for 'make a temp folder on another drive', it's been a while since I had to tinker with such things, but I do believe most OS's allow this.

But that requires you, the user, telling your OS to do so, that's not on the game.

Last update broke something for me, can't repair the game despite 11 gigs free on the same drive.

I like ESO but when the game breaks itself it's such a pain in the a**.
I'm not deleting tons of other games to free up another 100 gigs which I expect is what I'll have to free up to repair the game, and it's not the first time this has happened because of a botched update either.

Fix your launcher Zenimax.
