Necroptence is an extremely good set for magicka pet builds as it increases your max magicka by a tonne! Which then gives you really big damage shields so youll take less damage.

for PVE i would recommend running a pet build, so use 5 piece necropotence+4or5 piece moondancer or 4or5 piece infallible aether with a 2 piece monster set, i would use grothdarr

for PVP you could run still run a pet sorc, use 5 piece necropotence and 5 piece seducer with a 2 piece monster set. Lots of different options.
