XP Grinders are rude!!
What is going on with all of the rude XP grinders? Numerous times over the past two weeks, I have run into rudest people XP grinding in public dungeons, and out in the wilderness. I have been called a F'n D-head, and asked what the F are you doing stealing our xp. I am not intentionally stealing anyone's XP. I cannot tell if people are grouped, and these grinders are not at the typical grinding spots...ie dolmens or skyreach.
They are bullies, and they are stupid, you cannot even learn good mechanics of the game by grinding. Any ideas, on how to avoid them? So far, my only solution, has been to follow them around and pelt them with mudballs. It actually seems to work. After a few minutes of constant pelting, they port out.

Report and ignore.
I like to use the "Kiss This" emote. (you face your butt to them, bend over and slap it) But I think your solution works better. Thats funny. Pelt them with mudballs, lol.
when you are in public even in the real world, people are rude. YES the emote, KISS THIS is awesome.

failing that mud is good.
People in general are rude.
Thesame thing yesterday in Coldharbour, i see some idiot try to kill elite mob with his RESTO STAFF :P than i jump there and i helped him, after that he start shouting ( writing with "!!!!" :p ) that im ##### ole , this is his grinding place , find your own ( i got max lvl :p ) . I think this new ESO players are small noob kids and they see max lvl char everywhere, they want this in ONE day without story etc. After that they will notice that they dont have leveled SKILLS because they will use only destro staff or 2h sword , doing dungeon with this morrons willbe nightmare !!!!
Just ignore and have fun.
Yeah I hate people like that; just tell them if they had any skill, they could hit an enemy before it was killed to gain XP.

Well, being 2 players xp farming a spot, and then a 3rd guy shows up only to tag enemies and contribute with nothing, pisses me off. Losing so much xp for being 3 players.
Wow! I just "got educated". I'm fairly new and I didn't realize that what I thought was helping others was an xp issue. I felt rude if I saw someone engaged in combat and DIDN'T join in. I always like it when someone "jumps in" any of my combats...especially if I'm engaged with a boss-type critter. I never think of the xp issue. I'm just having fun and trying to be somewhat sociable, as I am very much a solo player. I never knew....

Let me tell you a story: I was standing looking at my map, for the location of a treasure map, (in a public quest area), minding my own business. Out of nowhere, I began to hear screeching. I closed my map, and found myself swarmed with at least 15 monsters. The players, were down to almost no health.
I didn't think about it, I thought these people needed help. I brought out my restoration staff, and gave them a little stream of health. About 5 seconds went by, and the players were again overwhelmed, health bars under 25% and not dealing much damage to the monsters. They were at level 25 and 27, which should be high enough for two people to take care of these inflicted monsters. I thought they were questing, I just they were having a tough time. At that point, I stepped in and demolished the monsters in a few seconds. That was when I was called a Fing D-head.
All I am saying is this, if you are XP grinding, stay out of public questing areas, public dungeons, etc. If you are XP grinding in these areas, expect people to accidently "steal" your XP. People can't tell if you are grinding or not. So SHUT your FOUL mouths. That's it. Most players are not running around looking for grinders, just to "steal" the XP. Most are just trying to help out, because we all have needed a little help now and then.
Lol screw it. It's an mmo. They aren't entitled to anything

Im talking about people who keep running up your ass to tag all the mobs you kill. Not random people who just happen to run through your farm spot. I dont mind them.
So like I said, its the people who purposedly steal your exp that I hate.
This... this is a thing?
I mean who pays attention to xp anyway? At lower levels it just means you have to update your skills and gear more, which sucks, and at higher levels it doesn't matter because gear is pegged to CP 160.
Now, if you are trying to farm for gear and there's a group right in front of you killing all of the bosses or monsters you meant to kill, that's frustrating, especially since big groups usually outrun the respawn times. But ultimately, they are doing nothing different from what you yourself are doing, and so you can't really blame them.

Besides, I think the top 12 players who damage a monster get loot, and i don't think there's any cuttoff or reduction whatsoever for people getting xp. As for loot, you can always just catch up to them and throw in a couple of AOEs, and nobody losses.

I'm sorry that you had a sucky experience, especially when there really is no reason for them to act that way. Honestly, just report them. I'm not sure if it does anything, but that's not the sort of vitriol we want in the ESO community.
