[SOLVED] Invalid Character Name

So... apparently my name for EVERYTHING on the internet is invalid...
Why the fudge is the word "Mangetsu" (as in Wulf Mangetsu) invalid? It's not offensive, copyrighted or anything like that.

So to the devs (IF they are reading this) can you please make the word not invalid so I can use it for my character? xD

You're not by any chance using "Space" before or after the name,are you? Or more than 5 Space or hyphen in between?

Nope, just regular "Wulf Mangetsu" and it's invalid.

Nooo I think you misunderstood.
The problem is not that I have trouble getting the name in the correct format, my problem is that the word "Mangetsu" is not valid, mate xD

Huh, that's weird.

If it makes you feel any better, though, I had the same trouble thinking of the names for all my characters. Everything I wanted was either taken, or like you, strangely invalid... so I had to just come up with stuff that sounded neat for the class I was choosing.

I don't see anything wrong with "Mangetsu" though...

personally, i go to UESP or a generator for the race of the character, then pick a first and last name that sound cool. It gets you a name that's unique, seems to fit in with the game, and plus you don't really need to be particularly creative yourself.

Thing is, I like to play as my RP Character with that name, thinking of a story how he got to that point 'n stuff but I just can't because MANGETSU is on the same level as HitIer and such, that pretty much sucks xD

Then that would say " The name is already in use" but he mentioned it says "The name is invalid",so....

Nope, just invalid.

Tried Wulf: Taken
Tried WulfMangetsu: Invalid
Tried Mangetsu: Invalid

The word MANGETSU is just not valid for usage, that's it. I had a workaround since my RP character has a nickname wich I was able to use but if I want to make a second character, I want to use that name in the future.

I think I'm gonna contact support for that.

In Japanese, Mangetsu means = Full Moon.

But is FULL MOON a copyrighted name? Or why would they put that on the blacklist? Since Santa Claws 'n such are valid for usage, I thought a japanese word for full moon SHOULD be able to use... >_>

That.. that is strange. Well, I don't have any advice further than what I said above, but if you do get an answer from support as to why 'Mangetsu' is banned, please share it.

I actually got a response, I'll try to translate ('cause I wrote in german, therefor I got a german response):

Character names can have more than one space in their names. As for now you can have up to four hyphen, apostrophe or spaces, that allows names like "Nh'yen the Ter-Grol".
That should be an interesting information for Argonia and Khajit who try to think of a name.

Also I'd like you to try to varify the game cache.

(Instructions on how to verify cache here, uninteresting for the public eye since EVERYONE can do that)
