after coming back to town full of loot, get in a groove of going to crafting benches to break down items. Start with BLACKSMITHING, scroll to bottom of things to do, which will be RESEARCH and check to see if you have anything to research. Do the same thing at CLOTHING bench which covers light and medium armors. Then onto WOODWORKING for bows sheids and staffs, also go to ENCHANTING to break down Gylphs.

learn the TRAINING trait first in Blacksmithing, woodworking and clothing then make some armor for your level and using the TRAINING trait on all 7 armor pieces, plus put training on all weapons too, you will level faster

Like above, research training traits first and then try to fill up 3-4 slots for each piece of armor that way when you get to 160 and you feel like making a new character YOU can craft your own training gear.

There are 3 sets you can craft knowing 4 traits
There are 4 sets you can craft knowing 3 traits
There are 3 sets you can craft knowing 2 traits

This way you can craft a set of training gear with some decent Bonuses on them.

Once You reach level 8 in either of your crafting skills i would advise you to put points into (for this instance blacksmithing) Metallurgy.

"Reduces research times by 5% and allows the research of two items at once."

Both Clothing and Woodworking have these also and you can apply 3 point's into this passive skill line which in the end will allow you to research up to 3 traits at a time with reduced research time! Very handy if this is going to be your armor crafter!

Don't try to learn all the crafting skills on one character tho as you will run out of skill points to share between everything else.

While most of what you said is correct, I feel like I should point out:

1. If you're playing your main, and intend to play it well in to CP160 content, save ANY and ALL traits you research after the ones you need first. Those possibly being: Divines, Reinforced, Infused, etc. DPS want Divines without a doubt, tanks may or may not use a combination of all three I mentioned, or one of them all.

Don't forget to pick up Impen if you intend to PvP at all. Going in to Cyrodiil without a set of Impen gear will get you one-shotted by everyone. Granted, that still happens against Destro staff ult spammers even with a full set of Impen gear, but it's much worse without it.

Regardless, you're going to end up needing at least 6 traits researched on every piece of the armor type(s) you intend to use to craft a good set. If you intend to craft a "BiS" set, you're going to need all the traits, of which Nirnhoned is incredibly expensive to get because the crafted pieces from other players sell for 20k and up.

* Note here: when you finish the Craglorn storyline, you get a cache with one random Nirnhoned armor piece or weapon. This is how players get the trait to begin with.

2. You have more than enough skill points to use for essentially whatever you want. My Nightblade has so many skills learned, with points left over, and still more points to collect. As an example, I've got the following:

* All 3 class skill lines maxed. Only the Assassination tree has every ability maxed & morphed. I have a couple from the other trees, but all of the passives in all 3.

* Dual Wield, Bow, and Two Handed entirely maxed with all passives and abilities morphed.

* Meium Armor, though I don't use the active ability from there. The NB class one is better.

* Clothing (minus one passive)
* Blacksmithing (minus one passive)
* Woodworking (minus one passive)
* Most of the Fighter's Guild
* Persuasive Will and Comet from the Mage's Guild
* A couple from the Thieve's Guild
* A couple from the Dark Brotherhood
* The Provisioning passive that increases food buff duration
* The Alchemy passive that increases drink/potion buff duration
* Alliance War: Assault: Vigor and Caltrops, both morphed, plus the passive buff one.

And I'm not even done collecting skill points. I still have around 33 total points to get from Skyshards I haven't gotten, Cadwell's Gold zone story quests, a couple dungeon quests, and if I need them, PvP rank-ups give you a skill point, and I'm only a Cyro... so I've got probably 6 or 7 left there, maybe more (or less, I have no idea).

So don't fret over skill points. Just be sure that you use them wisely in the beginning, before you start crafting. Make sure you have all of th e class/weapon/armor/guild abilities you need first and you'll be fine.

For your main definitely try to become a master crafter, provisioner, and enchanter.

Get some sort of add-on that tags your items as not yet researched when you get them. That way when you get random loot you will know if that item is something you can research. SAVE any that are marked that way in your bank for use when you need to research. Always have research going even if it isn't the ideal trait you want at the time. It takes forever to finish. So definitely go for the skills that allow you to research 3 items at once as soon as possible.

If you have a ton of GREEN upgrade stones for armor use them to upgrade your intricate items before you decon them as well. This doubles the XP the item gives and you should get tons of them anyways. Also, upgrade the skill that allows you better refining results. This is very important to get a lot more upgrade mats.

Focus on the things you use first, but don't go crazy listing everything when you get up to 20 days. Leave at least 1 slot for your short ones like the 10hr, 1 day, etc. so you ahve more flexibility. IF you are MEdium armor focused do those first. Also, make 5 of the medium armor (if that is your main), 1 Light Armor, and One Heavy armor piece to wear at all times. Put training on them so that you get XP for ALL 3. This is also important for later when you get the Undaunted passive that gives you a bonus to stats for having at least one piece of each armor equipped.

The early sets I got for always aare Night's Silence and Ashen Grip. Night's Silence let's you sneak at regular speed like walking, and Ashen grip has good stats for the other 2 pieces of armor and the weapons. Depends on if you are Stam, or MAgicka of course. There are alternate sets with the fast sneak on them for magicka too.
