Enchanting 101

Noob in crafting. First time enchanting a rune to my bracers (medium armor hands). So this, I got an Truly Superb Glyph of Stamina (Epic) from a guild member. And then I crafted a Night Mother medium armor hands. When I tried to enchant my armor, I can't seem to find the rune in the selection. Please help. Thanks!

Best bet is to get the enchanting addon from www.esoui.com. I recommend minion, others (especially if you use a small amount of mods) say just directly put it.

It can get confusing. The addon helps it be simple.

There are weapon, armor, and jewelry glyphs. Better check to make sure your guildmate didn't give you a jewerly glyph.

Well I'm sure it was an armor glyph. Do I have to reach Enchanting level 50 to do this?

weapon enchnat = works on weapon only
armour enchant= work on armour only
jewelry enchant= works on jewelry only
second restriction is the level of the equipment
third restrcition is if its crafted only crafter and bound owner can enchant it

all that you can craft can be crafted for level 1- champion 160
depending what blue runes you use they set it if its a positive or negitiv effect and its level requirement!

yellow green runes set the element and or effect type

where as the quality round runes set as set quality only because fo this you can make (Kuta)legendary level 1-champion 160 glyphs

postive and negative effect change the type for effect a glyph has from example
health rune if positiv its armour glyph that gives extra health, if negative it becomes a weapon glyph that adds health absorb to weapon damage with extra magic damage.

glyph will allways tell in description what you can enchant it for what level the equipment needs to be used.

to craft champion 150-160 glyph you must have 50 enchanting and itrs skills.
champion 150 glyph can be used on champion 150 and 160 equipment
champion 160 glyph can only be used on champion 160 equipment

simply put lower level glyphs are less powerfull, but can bused from min level up to max 160 equipment
the higher the glyph min level of equipment needed the more powerfull the base vaule
quality adds extra bonus to base vaule

above is the basic on how the enchamnet system works.

addons for enchanting tend to only make it more confusing and can even break all glyph descriptions and break your understanding of what runes you need!

what can help you more is a list of runes combination and its results!

this way you can rather check the list beforhand and then use those runes to make the right glyph

to craft a glyph the runes must either be in the characters inventory or in your account bank!
if an equipment is enchanted same level diffrent glyph will allways replace old enchants if reenchanted
lower quality enchant can be upgrade with higher quality enchant of same type or even replaced with diffrent enchant aslong it has the corrent equipment level!

to be able to craft any glyph you must have 50 in enchnating and have all corresponding craft -> enchanting skills learned!

everything is properly described in the english client as long you do not have addons that break the client!
most the time if something not is working, it migth be if you use addons, an addon that breaks the client!

in those case disable all addons and reactivate them single one by one and check which addon is broken, after you found it disable and delete that addon!

only if all addons are diasbled and you have still a bug, then use first the launchers repair of the client!
if after client repair that bug still presist while your addons are disabled only that its a bug caused by the client!
otherwise its a bug caused by an addon while you have addons active!

Here's a shorter version: Runes are used to craft glyphs, which are then applied to (in this case) armor. Truly Superb Glyphs are for highest level armor. Which level armor did you craft? The glyph will not show up if you have no armor at the appropiate level. Your enchanting skill only matters for what you can craft, not for what you can use.

FYI, I didn't crafted the glyphs.

The armor is CP160. Mr.Void#151625, mentioned the third restriction which I understood it already. That's why I need to rush my enchanting skill. Hahaha...
