[Solved]Windows cannot find vcredist_x86_2015.exe (help!)
When I boot up the launcher I get this message "Windows cannot find vcredist_x86_2015.exe. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

I went to the vcredist file and noticed its vcredist_x86_2010.exe instead of the 2015 one, went to microsoft site to dl the 2015 version but it wont run on this computer for some reason. Anyone experience this and/or know a way to fix this!?

Go into the launcher file in your zenimax installation folder (...\Steam\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online\Launcher\) and try to run the vcredist_x86_2015 located in there. If you have a 64 bit windows run the others too.

If it wont run, try uninstalling all vcredlists on your computer and then re-install them. They may have been corrupted.

Also, update your windows and graphics card drivers.

Worked like a charm, thanks!

I've followed what you have said to do but when I go to install it tells me it cannot update as the version I have is newer??? baffed isn't the word for how confused I am right now. surely if I have a newer version then the 2015 one I shouldn't be getting the error at all??????

Having this issue as well. None of the x86 or x64 versions work. @Izuela said to uninstall/reinstall the redistributable, but I don't have a 2015 version listed in my programs (there are other versions, but I don't think it's wise to uninstall all of them as he suggested because other programs have installed those and need them). I downloaded the x86 & x64 2015 C++ Redistributable installers, but they say another version is already installed.

Any suggestions?

Yes, while it doesn't render the game unplayable, it's still annoying. I hope someone can post another suggestion...

If you can't install the x86 & x64 2015 C++ Redistributable, delete the newer versions "2017 ones" or anything above 2015, then install 2015

Got it fixed: I was able to repair versions 2013 and 2017 in Add/Remove Programs. The repair option for 2008 wasn't available and when I tried repairing 2012 it process hung, so I assumed that was the likely culprit (I know, the error mentions 2015, but that isn't even listed in Add/Remove Programs!).

So I downloaded 2012, uninstalled it, then reinstalled it and the error went away!

Had the same problem with PAYDAY 2. Went to the path that the error code showed and found out there was no installer files at all, which explains why it couldn't run them.
Got them from Microsoft and put both the x64 and x86 installers in the same folder and it started working. Hope this helps
