Tamriel Unlimited vs. Gold Edition

So Gold says it comes with 4 DLCs. Store page of Tamriel Unlimited has none of those DLCs listed. How would I get those DLCs if I bought Tamriel Umlimited, without "overpaying" for Gold Edition later? Meaning, I would be buying the base game again.

You buy it in game like any other.

Just buy gold. Trust me it's worth it, no point in just getting the base game.

I'm also sitting on the fence about this.

I think the normal edition is only worth it if you are planning to get the eso plus membership. Because the membership unlocks all DLC I've read.

You can buy the DLC in the ingame store with crowns, but I think you'll be overpaying if you are going to get the DLC with crowns. I can't recall correctly but A piece of DLC is about 2k crowns, 3k crowns are 15 euros(and the crowns are on sale like the game) and for the gold edition the 15 extra you get 4 DLC.

If you liked skyrim then go for it.

If your like me, meh. Its okay. But not paying 100 bucks for a house, 200 bucks a year for crafting bag, etc, etc.

This game is too rich for me.

you can buy those DLC with in game crowns which cost ~20$ or so which what you paying when you buy gold . or you can do eso plus and get those dlc for free.

Thanks for the responses. I'm not used to seeing DLC as in game purchase only. Usually it is listed out in the main store page.

so im downloading eso tamriel unlimited right now due to the free 4 days trial, if i buy the gold one is it mean that i have to uninstall tamriel unlimited and install the gold?

please help me clear this thought.

Same base game. Gold just adds the dlc and a few extras.

But as far as the install files, and install location, inside Steam, is it the same except with the DLCs? Or those (like me) playing Tamriel Unlimited, if I bought Gold, would I have to uninstall Tamriel and install Gold, and thus re-downloading everything?

I havent bought the gold edition, I sub. But I would imagine it would just patch the dlc when you start the launcher. Thats what it did when I added the sub.
or .. sub for 3 months, get 4500 free crowns for the sub, buy the dlc with the 4500 crowns, basically have 3 months of sub and the dlc for the price of the dlc.

Well I went ahead and got the Gold version. It didn't create a new Steam app listing, which is good because that means it just uses the existing install files. But the weird thing, even after a Steam restart, Steam did not download any updates, nor did the client even after manually telling it to check for updates. Usually a DLC SOMETHING gets downloaded. Oh well, no re-install or anything needed. Thanks everyone!

All the unlocks are done in game, server-side. No extra patching needed
