They tuned the main story quests of Craglorn for a single player, but the vast majority of the other content in the zone is indeed for group play.

However, if you're playing a class with an excessive amount of damage and utility (ie: Sorcerer, and probably Warden later on) you can solo a lot of the "group" content, too; mainly delves.

I mean I guess you could solo if you really wanted to, but you'd have to have a real good character build.

Other than that, you can usually see people running around at Belkarth or people participating in the bosses. Just come up to them and ask if they wanna group.

I guess you could try zone chat to look for a group? Zone chat isn't really active in Craglorn in my experience.

The main reason people go to Craglorn are for the Trials, since they're all located there. Other than that, you have:

* Challenging content
* Max-level crafting writs (may have changed, unsure)
* Material nodes have a chance to award Nirncrux (Weapon and Armor variants), which sell fairly well.
* The story quest, when completed, rewards you with a box that contains one piece of armor, or a weapon (maybe both? unsure!), with the Nirnhoned trait. Other than buying these items from Guild Stores, this is the only way to obtain them; which is why crafters sell them for so much gold. (This also may have changed with the influx of people playing the game; when I stopped, Nirn items (weapons in particular) were still 20k and above.)

Also there's the obvious reason of Skyshards scattered throughout the zone.

I would honestly avoid Craglorn for actual play until you're at least CP200 or beyond. Trying to quest there sub-CP160 will likely end with you being very frustrated.
