Is ESO any good for a casual player?
Hey there guys and girls! I was trying to find a good casual mmo, where there will be a lot to do as a solo player. i've heard ESO has some of the greatest content for a casual player. I still definitely want to group up with people (that's why Im looking for an MMO) but I have no interest in unlimited grind and big dedication such as having a specific raid time and a need to grind stuff for 4-6 hours a day just to keep up.

Thank you in advance for your answers!

If you can get past all the freaking problems it has downloading, playing it every day, the long loading screens, etc.... then it's an outstanding game..... but are you a casual player as in "I like to play Football games on my xbox" or "I like to play runescape and skyrim" ?? Because if its the former, then you'd have more fun with playing with yourself in the closet.

accordingly to friends ive got from WoW whos been having some of the best hardcore progression on high pop servers considers ESO as almost too casual, some has considered the pvp to be more balanced than the current wow(which has been horrible for a good 2 years now)

you should be fine unless ive been told lies

LIke others have stated before, it's as casual or hardcore as you want it to be. The choice is yours to do whatever. Just don't confuse it with an online version of Skyrim.

This game is great for solo. I have multiple characters, testing out different builds. You never have to group for dungeons if you don't want to do them. World bosses, you can just hang out and groups will show up to help you kill, then you just run off to do your own thing.
Crafting system is easy to learn. Only hard one is alchemy, which unless you have patience, need to buy all the plants.
When you group for dungeons, you get scaled to a higher level. Yeah, there will be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in every game, but generally you will get carried through, you just quit and join another one 15 min later.
Dungeons are only goot for gear sets, and end game pledges, so there isn't much push to do it.
Stories are funny, bosses can be difficult. I rate it 8.5/10. I just wish we had better skills, sometimes.

its a great casual mmo that you can play most content solo. you can role a bunch of different characters and all share a bank. i will say that the eso plus subscription is very much worth it if you can aford the 15 per month and think you will play enough to justify the cost. it opens all the dlc and gives you a bottemless crafting bag that is linked to all characters. plus you get 1500 crowns per month. if not the free account offers plenty of content as well.

its good casual imo too but there is a lot of cry babies in community so u i recommend dont bother with ppl (they get offended and triggered by everything literally) atleast on eu server.

also pvp is fun so try it if u happen to buy the game

Unless you specifially want to PVP or endgame PVE, this has everything you described.
There's hundreds of hours of single player/casual content where you can explore, complete quests, whatever you want. There's plenty of people running round the map doing open world content, and you don't even have to group, just jump in.
Once you get more confident, you can jump into group play.

But I've seen a lot of solo PvP on youtube tho... Can a player get BiS gear by exclusively PvPing?
