You can join wizard, fighters, thieves and any other npc guild if thats what you mean, you should join all of them they have their own questline and skill line to go with it

Mage's Guild has some good caster-related stuff in it, but I can't recall anything specifically that would benefit you. However, as CrazyZilox said, you can join all the NPC Guilds (Fighter, Mage, Undaunted, Thieve's, and Dark Brotherhood) and see for yourself if any of the abilities interest you or not.
