The Elder Scrolls Online

The Elder Scrolls Online

Cannot start process
I purchased and installed the game (normal edition), and when clicking Play, there's a dialog saying it's preparing to install the game, but then when it reaches 100%, it just exits. In the game folder there's an error file, but all it says is what's written in the subject...
Can someone help me, please? Thank you.

EDIT: no, login failes... invalid client

EDIT: next idea, copy the Launcher folder from: C:\Users\**USER**\AppData\Local\Temp\I1487189051\InstallerData\Disk1\InstData\Resource1\$IA_PROJECT_DIR$\src_path\Launcher into the Zenimax Online folder and try launching from steam again

same issue.. downloaded the game again.. same error
current JRE is installed, I also disabled the firewall since the application closed right after the windows firewall asked if java is allowed to access public networks
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I had a similar issue with the installer not installing the already downloaded game through Steam, and did what this person here suggests and it solved my issue. Why and how? I don¿t know. Hope this helps.

its because newest Nvidia driver screwing up Java application process

from another thread, looks like this is the most effective fix for this kind of problem now

1. Go to C:\Users\<UseeName>\AppData\Local\Temp
2. Search "Resource1.zip" in that folder
3. Open the zip file (any one of them if several come up)
4. Go to $IA_PROJECT_DIR$\src_path
5. Extract the whole "Launcher" folder to (this is important):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online

It's important you extract "Launcher" to that particular folder and not to the Zenimax Online folder in your Program files. That's what I did at first and it did not work. It HAS to go in the Steam folder.

6. Restart Steam
7. Try to run the game

Hopefully this works at least for some of you.

or you can try reinstall Nvidia driver, like this guy said here that its nvidia driveir problem with the java installer
