A question involving poison...
When you put a poison of any sort on your weapon, does it get used up over time? Because i don't see why else you'd get several poison items from crafting a single time.

Yup. Poison replace weapon's enchant and applies to target with ~20% chance every time you hit it with light/heavy attacks or weapon abilities.
P.S. Doesnt work with staffs.

I don't think you understand my question, i don't think i was clear enough.
I'm asking if the poison gets consumed after using it for a while. That's what i meant by used up.

poisons are consumed while they activate each application consumes one poison!
poisons is a consumeable enchantment that when slotted replaces the weapon enchant untill all poisons are consumed.
and yes poison only can be used by weapon light and heavy hits like any weapon enchantment!

main diffrence between weapon enchant and poison is:
weapon enchant activates on every hit where as poison only activates randomly!

poison = randomnly activated support debuffs! for those that round 3ed - 8th hit chance to debuff

weapon enchantment= every hit activated steady effect! better dps wise

It does get consumed but with only a 20% chance it could be there for a while especially if you put 10 potions there. Hover the mouse over it and press "E" to unslot it or right click for options. I usually split stacks and just put 1 or 2 applications. Good for bosses for damage over time and hindering but not so useful for regular enemies and short fights. Magika and stamina poisons are good for pvp. Just my opinion and from what i have read in other threads.

for boss/monster fight make poison that effect health only, since monster do not have stamina or magika!
stamina and magika effect poisons are for pvp!
monster skills they use are cooldown based with 0 cost, for this reason it make stamina and magika poison useless while fighting monsters/bosses!
since all monsters and bosses have 0 stamina and 0 magika!
for povp ytou can ravage all 3 health, stamian and magika with one poison:

nice one is emetic rusula+scrub jelly+fresh fly larva = enemy skill/spell cost increase+enemy takes more damage! pvp poison
