Minor confusion, you can now travel around to other factions and do their quests... but for stuff like PVP, Starting Location, and Main story locations, your locked in a faction still.

You need to crown purchase any race any faction to change that. 1500 crowns I think.

there was a time when it was rare to have a pc, internet access, and the personal freedom to endulge this current seeming abyss of 'options'. once upon a time whilst waiting for the bus, or a commuter train along a semi suburban road; one would have little to do besides stare blankly at one of perhaps 3 or 4 cracks in the sidewalk. gazing out into whatever if any traffic passes by did offer limited, one could 'read a book', something humans used to do in public; we often found ourself re-reading the same paragraph over and over of some random coffee shop paperback of the age such as, The Holy Bible, Where the Buffalo Roam, War and Peace or The Dancing Wu Li Masters. Maybe even Bukowski once while pondering how many ant colonies there are in the universe, or even how many calories of proteins are available in all the eggs of all those colonies both current and throughout history. so much time, so few options. As he boarded the train the conductor checked his ticket. Three and a half hours he had spent sitting idly atop the empty platform doing such things as tinkering with the soda machine which was out of order. Twice he checked the outdated payphone, heavily damaged the earpiece only emitted a shrill static. The friendly conductor upon review of his ticket ushered him into the next car to the rear, and then the next. After moving through 3 rail cars full of gleeful passengers seated in beautifully adorned thrones, sipping on cold soda, pina colada's, eating nachos and fried potatoes cheerfully endorsing this wonderful experience, the young man was lead to the final car to the rear of the train. Occupying this car were 5 passengers total, each of which sat in seperate isles of which there were 15, 60 seats in total. This car was not happy, a lone light bulb hung from an exposed cord casting a glim light on the soundless interior. Muffled was the ambiance here and a gloom inhabited this rear car. No one was sipping soda and certaintly there was no pina` colada in sight. No no this was not Diamond class accomodation nacho party he had expected even dreamed of.. He stared into the now black eye balls of the previously friendly conductor and proclaimed "I want to sit in the other car". To which the conductor replied 'strictly for Diamond Class'. .......... the young man reluctantly took the ticket stub from the apparition before him .... alas all along it was right there, "NON DIAMOND CLASS" in large bright letters along the top. As he turned to take his place among the tattered beings something dropped from his back pocket, a brochure for Diamond Class. ... but i have the version that should allow me to ... "no such thing.." was the last thing he heard before the steel door slammed shut, confining him to the hell car.... 'wow well that sucks.."

only way to play any race and any alliance is to buy upgrade called : Adventurer Pack, and sells ONLY in CROWN store.
Trigger Jun 2, 2017 @ 12:57pm
the game allows you ( not race ) to go anywhere in Tamriel. You can't be a Khajiit with DC unless you have the Adventurer Pack. Khajiits are members of AD, not DC unless you have upgrade

As trigger says but id also say it is worth it depending on how much u spent on it that is i never buy from steam so i saved lots on it from a third party seller. The game is still especialy if u havent played it before a wonderful entire world that will suck you in and bleed you dry. I love it
Kinzuko Jun 2, 2017 @ 3:54pm
there is nothing written anywhere that says "any race any alliance" for any of the steam versons of the game. go get the adventurers pack for 1500 crowns if it matters to you at all

Yes, part of the Adventurer Pack. Just couldnt come up with the name at the time.
( and faction / alliance ... I get mixed up with the different descriptions between all the MMOs I've played )
