The Elder Scrolls Online

ESO mouse acceleration problem.
I recently bought ESO, but when I try to play the game the rotation speed (both in 3rd and 1st person) is completely bonkers. If I move my mouse in real life at a constant speed, the rotation in-game will be very inconsistant, the rotation speed will sort of randomly shoot up to an insane rotation speed and my camera can sometimes do a full 360 degree turn. This makes the game completely unplayable and it's incredibly frustrating, even worse is their support because I can't post on their forums for some reason, and they have very specific categories when submitting tickets. I would really appreciate any and all help since I would love to play the game but can't do it with this problem.

But im not sure what you mean by sending commands that are not built into Windows.
Can you explain that part to me? Maybe you mean that by default Windows will only recognize 5 buttons on any mouse, and if the mouse has more than 5 buttons, it requires a
driver/software to recognize those extra buttons ?

Any kind of binding that doesn't include things like Media Keys or macros. Anything that Logitech added on top of the mouse API.

i see, that makes sense, altho i never install anything, it might be that Windows comes with built in driver that enables such complex functions on modern multi-button mice, or downloads it with updates...

I know this is an older thread, but I'd like to add that I also have the non steam version of the game installed and my Razer does NOT have problems on that version. Only on the steam version does this problem occur
The way the game handles mouse sensitivity is r.e.t.a.r.d.e.d. Ie: your sensitivity will change when you sprint with your weapons out. It will also change depending on the weapon (melee vs bow etc.) I don't understand how it's not been fixed 3 years after release.

I'm having this problem too. Nearly 2020 and it still exists.

yeah same here. I have tried almost everything and nothing helped unfortunately.I even disabled acceleration in OS but it still works in-game :(
Bought the game at a discount from steam sales.... and this stupid mouse acceleration is making me motion sick. Sucks to the core... Guess i will keep the game and not play it at all. damm.

SOLUTION:

In the "UserSettings" configuration file, find the "SET MinFrameTime" parameter.2" and set the value to "0.00500000", it should look like this-SET MinFrameTime. 2 "0.00500000". This value will fix the maximum fps at 200. In the settings of the game itself, enable vertical synchronization, which will not allow the game to accelerate the fps above the threshold of your monitor.

The bug is that when the game reaches a fixed maximum fps (which usually happens in buildings and other enclosed spaces), the mouse starts to pull. And it's not about your mouse! Found it on Reddit.

Boy what kind of mice are you people using? Never had anything like this happen to me in any game.

It's not about the mouse, when you hit the default 100fps cap, the game ramps up the mouse acceleration massively. If you move your mouse quickly during this, the view/camera spins wildly. It's a bug. If you sit at the 100fps cap consistently, it's more likely to occur.

Thank you so much, it was driving me nuts. My GPU is way overkill for this game, already downclocking it by 100 watts, which barely mirrored in the fps i got (still 100).
Granted i had to change the UserSettings.txt to read-only otherwise the game would just overwrite it, but thank god. No weird frame limit anymore.

hello i also had this problem and it seemed to be fixed by turning off "accelleration (enhance pointer precision)" in the logitech software - i left the dpi at 1200 set the report rate to 1000 and turned everything else off.
wpessi 5 grudnia 2022 o 15:07
I've tried everything. The only way it worked out for me was lowering the polling rate to the minimum available for my mouse on synapse (razer app), In this case, 125Hz. Logitech's app shoud have the same features... Create a profile for the game, and you're good to go.
Thumbs up if this works for you.

In case anyone has not figured it out, change your mouse polling rate. Most mice nowadays are auto set to 1000+hz. Some game engines (more specifically older games like CoD AW) freak out with the high polling rates. If your mouse software allows it, (and honestly, I don't see a single software NOT allowing it), set it to 125hz and tada, it's fixed
