omega ships?
Hi I am new to the game, I have checked the blueprints for the ships submission, like alpha, delta and omega and I just don't understand the point of bigger ships. with alpha ship I can get e.g. 300 plastic waste for 200 workforce which means 1.5 unit per workforce but with omega ship I get 1.6k plastic waste for 1454 workforce, which is a much lower unit/wf ratio. The bigger ship also costs more to build and the hangar, besides also costing more to build, consumes more energy, maintenance and build space.
So what is the benefit of building 1 omega hangar vs 2 (or even 1) alpha hangar?

Hi Andro, Omegas are mostly a late-game. Safer in the outside (there is a big impact on colony when losing a pilot) and, once you attach components to it, you get a higher bonus. I mean, a full equip Omega can be crazy.
Another benefit is that In the end you will need less colonists to obtain the same resources.

ok, thank you for answer, but can you please explain how exactly do I need less colonists to obtain same resources? The units per workforce ratio is much lower on omega ship as I already described, or does it get much better with equipment? How many slots does that ship have?
