Yeah totally agree with you. I'll make a rebalancing pass for these. I agree it's maybe too low.
Yeah and we'll look for the huge monsters ahah, indeed they can reach you in ways that are... very suprising let's say.
Thanks ;)
not everybody is pro
also some player might prefer to have more pictures and another might be scared and want the zoomy cam but if can only afford one cam how keep the game fun for erryone in the friend group
I wouldn't mind them reaching through buildings but they seem to noclip it instead of demolishing them.
Pretty much everyone else, especially prospective players in twitch chat and youtube comments, you know, the people that would be putting money into the game, all have pretty much said the same thing, the money makes it feel like there's no reward for doing well. Just award money equal to the points you get in a mission and raise the prices to reflect a reasonable ratio.
For example, I have managed to hit as low as 500 with 3 people in the first mission and 1,800 alone with some luck and waiting for good shots. Based on youtube and live stream I feel like you can generally expect average to rank in about 850 or so. Round that out to 1000 for a difficulty boost and we can say $1,000 per player, per press pass. Meaning you will average around $2,000 per player per mission. So raise the $100 mark to about $2,000. Cameras in general should be a little higher anyways, maybe an added 50%-100% to the converted prices, say $3,000 to $4,000 for a pro camera.
By doing it that way you reward every attempt to get photos equally, open early rewards, still paywall advantageous upgrades, and it feels less like I am being ripped off for several attempts to get photos in an alien crisis. You could even make it a 50% cash to every point gained and drop items around the level to bring back with you and sell. Meaning that things like the backpack suddenly become INCREDIBLY valuable and investigation and exploration pushed a little harder than waiting until around the 4 minutes remaining mark to just get big guy footage. It also is a bigger punishment for not being careful just because you have more press passes.
Additionally, you should be able to use the flashlight WITH any other item until you lose an arm. Making getting hit even more painful.
Especially in later level you could offering helicopter fuel (timer increase) and press passes for large costs to further waste money you gain for a significant reward.
