The full campaign is roughly around 3 to almost 4 hours long when not speed-running it. The early missions are very easy, middle is somewhat challenging, and the last ones make you put all your skills together. But, nobody is going to hold you accountable to stay the entire duration. Heck, a lot of people play just a few missions. And it's usually the case that you'll join a game already in progress (typically towards the start rather than the end) unless you want to make your own lobby. Basically everyone is about the journey rather than the destination, and it's mostly a goofy, violent, and chaotic experience meant to be enjoyed for the shenanigans of it all.
It's a solid break from a fully competitive experience, but that doesn't mean the game is a cake walk either. You still want to strategize with your team, keep on your toes, but if all hell breaks out that's to me when it's the most hilarious: Seeing the panic of everyone and trying desperately to make it back to the helicopter. For someone like you that doesn't have a lot of time, I would think this is great pick since such a concern doesn't really factor into the entertainment of it. If that sounds like a good time, give it a go.
ohhhhhhh ok so players can join a lobby later on after someone leaves. thank you. That's basically what I was trying to ask. I didn't want to leave early on people
Yea I been playing, but it seems like the game is already pretty dead :( the playercount says 500 concurrent... but I hardly see many games going on. I guess most people play in private lobbies you can't see :( I did find two gamer couples tho who grinded out a lot of the game with me. We died at the final level level 12 ;( (couldn't get a 4th player). It looks like there was recently a beta for a new update so hopefully when that update comes out it brings the playerbase back so it's easy to find 4/4 games
We're in the transition period where people are waiting for the next big update before logging back in. This is reasonable, since even if you like the current content, you figure that you can always do something else in the meantime knowing full well that your playtime should be spent with the biggest and best version of the game. Beta public tests to get a lot of info fast on how to tweak the game is a double-edged sword: Once users get a glimpse of all the new features and monsters, they don't really want to go back to the old model. So user activity will take a drop, but it's not like you don't have other hobbies or games to rev up in the meantime. The devs through updates are telling us they're working incredibly hard to get the new patch in tip-top shape.
ok cool. yea i still got about 10 hours in the lull of the game. The beta was that good? I missed it so I have no idea how much better it is lol
You can stay tuned to upcoming updates either through the game's page in your library or check out the Discord. This is an indie game with two devs at the helm, but the pace with that in mind has been remarkably good.
