Balancing - Helicopter camping
You guys should do a balancing patch so that exploration is more rewarded. Currently you can just wait by the helicopter until the big monster shows up and spam pictures of it to get the most points.

Do you play for fun or just for points (which don't really matter)?
I agree it's almost encouraged not to explore at all and camp spawn for points - takes the fun out of the game.
Maybe they could make it so that you need to accumulate a certain amount of points before bosses and military spawn.

I wouldn't mind seeing objectives - like having to go indoors to do a thing that frees the military personnel so they can be outside, or solve some thing inside maps that effects the outside map and final big monster - something that makes the indoor maps useful and purposeful and challenging.

I like your thinking :o :instantdeathsmile2::HealthSD:
do yall even play, you can't get points for repeat photos. one picture of just the big monster, the rest won't count, you have to have other monsters in the photos to get more than one picture worth of point from the giant monsters. This is what makes being solo so hard, since only 7-15 photos x3, and you can't just spam the same thing over and over again.

Why play the game if you're going to do that? I only do it if I have to wait for my allies to die if I plan on taking a trip back for their things.

I think revising the event system so more dangerous events happens the further you are away from the helicopter is needed.

Also big monsters spawning outside when you are indoors is a bit of a pain for players too as I've seen in streams, they can get pinned as a monster is trashing everything in front of the door they use to exit.

Adding some mini objectives would help if they spawn more events too, for instance there are objectives to take photos of throughout the map and by doing so you progress the activity levels of the map, otherwise standing near the helicopter will barely have much occurring unless you go out and explore and take pictures of things.

For instance taking photos of story related objects and such would be interesting, like there is a 'secret lab' in the basement of one of the buildings and you take pictures of lore stuff, which builds up the activity levels of the map and spawn new things.

Having extra interior rooms like a 'secret government agency' place that is below ground would net you extra stuff to pick up and bring back documents and stuff...

Or minigame objectives like surviving in a designated area while you hack a computer to gather more info about the 'scenario' from agencies and stuff so you have evidence and 'scoop' to make money off of. Activity levels shoots up when you do these minigame points on the map.

And new changes to spawn locations for the helicopter would be nice... Such as helipads on rooftops... So you start from above, not below!

I love both of these, but I think the addition of some shady Black Ops or Men In Black showing up in later levels would be both on-point and a decent threat that isn't alien. Government cover-ups are a staple of scifi.

But also you could have alien tech inside the buildings, like a warped-in chunk of an alien lab or temple or whatever, and it could have a device or crystal or something you can carry around and activate. You know, a couple alien artifacts that are photogenic.

Maybe when you activate the Humming Crystal it has a random chance to explode, warp in a horrible monster, or temporarily debuff whoever activated it. Maybe if you take it outside a special enemy spawns to try recovering it, or if you activate it outside it summons a UFO or opens a hellgate.

This is the sort of stuff that would add a bit of lore.

But also some interior stuff you can pose with by interacting with it. Like, the alien nests are neat, but if you could pick up an egg to take a selfie with it, that'd be cool. And then you could throw the eggs and leave splats all over the place.

A 'crashed alien spacecraft' room would be neat, and there could be a 'probing table' inside that you could interact with and the journalist lies down on it and looks scared, and you get a bonus to pictures taken, so teamwork makes the dream work.

if your playing with people who play like you, camp near the heli until, if the kaiju appears, then thats a YOU, issue. me and my friends go inside and try to get some points, and save the next 10+ shots, for if, the big kaiju appears.

The more players the more cameras and the easier it is to progress actually, unless the game balances out by determining the points by the # of players in the session.
I don't have the courage to explore the buildings when I'm playing alone because I have poor vision in dark areas (images) and I easily get lost (can't find my way out). But when I'm in a fun group, I risk it even if I die alot. Camping near the chopper is a "you" thing. Don't blame the game.
