In Academy drive , to get more cars I need to grind ?

Why dont they give us all cars in single player mode agains A.I. , for people that dont want to grind.

They did but i guess if you lucky and get to online mode then they get locked
mine is always offline so all cars available.

Wish i could get online so can try the other modes acadamey and special events

I guess if you want all cars could just roll back to current 0.1.3 but online wont work
prob be turned off later anyway i spose.

feel sorry for those with launching issues as game is pretty fun even in this early builds

do you drive on wheel , or controller ?.I cant get 2 star in any race ;] , its too difficult.

wheel csl DD 2 stars in 1st 2 that electric alpine is horrible gave up with 1 star lol

I've just being trying the Driver Academy it's absolutely pathetic and I hate it profoundly. Kunos please please listen and don't force us to grind through an awful and boring play mode just so we can unlock the cars we really want to drive. I'm an experienced driver and I have no interest whatsoever to waste my time in a game mode aimed at beginners so please please don't force it on us. I don't have much spare time and I just want get on with racing cars that I'm actually interested in and I won't waste my precious time just grinding. ACE has great physics and the potential to be the best race sim ever so Kunos please don't ruin it for us by trying to copy Forza or Gran Turismo, just stick to being like the Original Assetto Corsa and we'll be happy.

100% Im with you.As much I like Academy drive , I think its should be optional for hardcore people that want to challenge them self.For people like me , that just want to drive all cars , and relax , after hard day at work ;].I also hate griding.

there is so many sims that do this everything at once and i find it boring maybe they can make a toggle switch so those that like progression can have it and other ppl that prefer everything unlocked can have that.

Currently only need 1 star to move on to next one which doesn't take long at all seems people just wanna jump into the gt fast cars which can do in acc ac f1 ams2 blah blah

I just hope in the full version I can get all cars in one day ;].I just want to relax , and drive how ever I want.Its good to have progression , but let it be optional ;]

way i see it if they going the gran turismo style may bring in more players to the PC platform GT7 is ok but physics suck, i like that kunos have the nuts to try break the mould there so many sims over the years that basically do same thing over and over again.

players are so separated over the various games kunos games seem to be the most popular so I think it will be as good as there other titles just needs time.

No guarantee they won't go back on their word, but several times it has been mentioned by Kunos that for anyone who wants the typical PC sim experience will be able to do exactly that with full release, in other words, just pick what you want and go, and can completely ignore the grindy stuff, open world, customization etc.

I hope what they mean with what has been said is that you can race online without having to go through the academy. That will be a huge turnoff for people who have been racing for years, especially anyone who treats it even somewhat seriously, as this would just be wasting their time, and that is our most precious resource by far.

I'll admit I'm curious about the open world bit when it is completed, but I'm not really interested whatsoever in the drivers academy thing.
